Dholpur is always close to my heart. I studied from Dholpur Military School and all those years when I used to come to town on weekends, I used to cross this Palace and was in complete awe of this imposing building. From a distance, you wouldn't even realize how beautiful this property is. It is only once you are inside... More

Raj Niwas Palace is the one resort I would love to go back another time ... All at once modern and yet parts of the property take one back in time into past history when maharajas lived... The pool rooms (yes, there's a small pool !) are spacious, clean with all amenities, big bathrooms comfortably appointed. The striking feature is... More

Situated close to Agra and well connected from Delhi by train, Dholpur is a very convenient place to reach and explore Chambal. The rooms are well laid out and treat you with a taste of opulence. Being a Palace property they offer rooms inside the Palace also. Food is tasty and they serve buffet mostly. Staff was friendly and attended... More

The Location is right across the main Agra Mumbai Highway. So taking one turn lands you away from dust and mud into heaven of green meadows and ocean blue fairy tale palace. This property is also a house to Chief Minister of Rajasthan so Security can never be any issue. The staff is smartly dressed and they know how to... More

Our third stop on our trip around Rajasthan. We were not sure why our tour included a night in Dholpur but it was a good chance to recover from our fairly hectic days in Delhi and Agra at this charming hotel. We stayed in a garden room which was excellent, drank cold beers on the lawn, and had a tour... More

We stayed in a pool villa which was very large and luxurious. The rooms in the main palace had more character but not the splash pools of course. The food was an interesting journey. I don't recall seeing a menu, it was more a case of asking for suggestions from the staff. Larger groups had the buffet. The main plus... More

This is the typical heritage property - A large area, an old palace with lots of history, large lush lawns, a staff that loves and serves the royal family as much as the guests. The rooms (we were in the pool side villas) are nicely done up. Large, with a nice garden view and a huge bathroom. The mini bars,... More
