We had booked for one night on our travel through France and it was very pleasing the welcome was good, the surrounding wood land and the proximity of the river make it delightful. The bedroom was very comfortable and clean with shower and toilet very good. The menus for dinner was limited but of a very high stand and some very good wines on offer. I would stay here again

The hotel is very well located on a quiet country road. The property is well maintained with a pond and park setting in the backyard. The hotels has less than 12 rooms all individually decorated. It is a quiet and peaceful place to comebak to at the end of a busy sight seeing day. The Chonceneau and Chamborg castle are withing a short drive range of the property. The dinners and breakfast are very well presented in a small and well appointed dining room. There is a big terrace on the grounds for outside dinning.

We got the 2 rooms in the attic with a common bathroom. Floor was covered by a wall-to-wall wicker “carpet” (not easy to clean) and some unvacuumed rugs. Queen bed room had “nightstands” with coffee stains and some cobwebs. Mosquitoes and heat have been a real problem and ruined our night. No AC, could not open window b/c of fear of more mosquitoes, we plugged in a fan but it was very noisy. Pretty terrible night. They should at the very least put some mosquitoe nets at the windows. Ideally, makeover of the attic rooms. Sheets were clean but the bed had an unpleasant smell. Bathroom was weird but had newer elements and it was clean.

Review collected in partnership with Citotel Hotels
We stayed for two nights took two rooms. Found the guy in charge incredibly rude and obnoxious. We asked him for a couple of bottles of wine on the first night when we got back from dinner elsewhere (refused to eat there as it was very expensive and had no choice ) found our bottles of wine at the back of the establishment in pitch black !! Drank half he said he would keep the rest for us for the next night if necessary. Went and asked for the bottles the next night and he refused to give us glasses and more or less made us leave the establishment. When we were checking out he was really rude. When he had met us on arrival he was incredibly rude !! All the staff were rude to us as well !! I would give it 2 out of 10 due to position of hotel only.
