This is one of my favourite places to stay when visiting Lydney. It's quiet, calm, peaceful, always spotlessly clean and great value for money. Decorated to a lovely standard and I always feel very comfortable and safe here. 5 stars all the way.

I stayed here for three nights in April. Parking is available on site however I travelled by train and the owner was kind enough to pick me up from the station which was just a five minute drive away. The room was clean, modern and the bed was comfortable. Close to bus stops, shops and restaurants. Would stay again.

We had three rooms here as part of a road trip with friends. Two twin rooms and one single. We were surprised on arrival that the single was not en suite - this was not clear at booking. The twin rooms (with doors opening onto the carpark like a traditional motel) were large and simply furnished, with small shower rooms.... More

I have stayed here with my wife about once a year for several years, but this was our first visit since change of management. On this occasion we did not avail ourselves of the in-house breakfast but ate further down the town, partly for a change and partly because we had read that you now have to collect your breakfast... It is a simple motel, so don't expect the usual hotel services (bar, restaurant, etc.), however saying that, the room was large and modern, the bed seemed a bit on the hard side but turned out to be very comfy, it had a nice flat screen TV and a largish bathroom complete with shampoo, etc. It was very clean and... I stayed here for 2 nights a few weeks ago with a friend in single rooms. It was not made clear there was a shared bathroom and the first night was fine - there was a wedding party. On the second night the other two rooms on our floor were occupied by people who 'live there' and had been moved... More

This was a great motel. Didn't realise that I had booked a room with a shared bathroom but was able to upgrade . We had a lovely room with ensuite. Only thing that was missing was a seated area with tables for the evening as it was very hot in the room and would have been great outside.
