A lovely cheerful place to rest your head, with out breaking the bank. well run pub and great food make for a delightful stopping off point. its an old country coaching inn so don't expect 5 star luxury but do expect friendly and attentive service with lashings of everything.

Just spent a few days at this lovely pub. The food is all home cooked and delicious with good sized portions. The owners Bill and Mo are truly welcoming and really friendly as are all the staff. The rooms are based round a small courtyard and are very comfortable.

The room was old and creaky, but the Inn is about 700 years old so what would you expect? From the moment we walked in the door we began to smile. The welcome was friendly and jovial, the decor was such that you half expected Dick Turpin to have his horse tied up outside, while he was sitting in an... More

We had a thoroughly enjoyable couple of days walking in the Cotswolds, punctuated by some well-kept beer and superb home-cooking. Bill is a friendly and entertaining host, the food is exactly what is wanted after a long trek, and 'Bill's bootiful home-made Lasagne' lived up to its billing!! The motel style rooms off the courtyard were perfect for letting the... More

Bill and Mo are always welcoming (even when we arrived early !!) Adam and Chris were very friendly and went the extra mile to ensure our stay was memorable, the food is freshly cooked, plentiful and delicious. We are already planning our next stay with our little dog Charlie.

If you want to experience hard to find, good old fashioned friendly service and wonderful home cooked food cooked by the owner....then we recommend you pay Bill and Mo a visit. All their attention together with Adam and Chris made our four night stay very enjoyable. No doubt we shall return for a second course

Had a weekend away with family ...6 of us while visiting RAF Brize Norton. Travelling with some elderly people I specifically asked for a no stairs room. Bill...the host made a great choice with the elders downstairs and both couples above. The rooms although small were very comfy and we wanted for nothing. I can honestly say this place serves... Found this accidentally when looking for dog friendly accommodation in Burford , what a find Bill the Land Lord was most accommodating saved us Sunday lunch for the evening on our arrival. Room fine don't expect the Ritz is a 13th century coaching inn. Overall excellant.

We stayed at the quirky Merrymouth last year for a weekend & enjoyed it so much we returned with friends again this year. The hospitality shown by Bill, Mo and their team is second to none-they remembered us from last year and made us feel very welcome. The food in the friendly restaurant is excellent & breakfast definitely fills you... More
