The local villager told us that the lodge has crazy prices. I tend to agree. For over 200 US $ you would expect a better breakfast (horrible coffee, half a banana, toast and two eggs..), better bathrooms and better service (we were kept waiting outside the lodge in the cold for over 10 minutes and nobody answered the phone or...

We were pleasantly surprised when we came to Lian Lodge. It is truly delightful - the warm staff welcome and reasonable English, the charming room so uniquely decorated, comfort of the accommodation overall, and of course the location. we were very well looked after, even to a torch by the bed to climb up to see the sunrise, and of...

Everything was wonderful. The staff were delightful, the food was delicious, the location was superb. But what is most amazing about this place is the artistic framework in which it was created. The owner/designer is a true artist and put love into every nook and cranny of that hotel. You can travel the world throwing as much money around as...

The rice fields are somptuous from this unique lodge, built in the tradition of wooden houses with no nails and decorated with rare and beautiful antiques for each room. We stayed in Windows (rice fields just in front of my bed) and White & Blue rooms. Delightful staff and exquisite food. There is only one place to stay and this...

Very friendly staff. Beautifull decorated rooms. Great view even when the weather was foggy. We loved the atmosphere in this small place. A totally different experience after all the big hotels we stayed in the rest of our trip in China.

This was to be a highlight of our trip but because of rain and fog we did not see the famed rice terraces. Our room was lovely, if on the small side and we would have liked a second chair! The food was a disappointment -- swimming in oil and it seemed to have been modified for non-Chinese tastes. The...

Lovely little hotel. Judy and her staff provide a warm welcome and excellent service. We loved the Celdon room with it's two walls of windows looking onto the terraced countryside. Yes, it was a walk up to the hotel, but you've probably come to the area to hike the lovely hillsides and small villages. Food was excellent, bed comfortable and...

Li An Lodge has a beautiful location above a little village in the middle of spectacular rice terraces. It is the last big house of the village. The rooms are small but very nicely decorated. From our room we could not enjoy the view, it was in the back of the house. The ambiance of the Lodge is nice. Staff...

If you are going to Longji this is a wonderful place to stay. We traveled there in Aug 2010 wih our 3 children (12, 10 and 7) and got two tastefully decorated adjoining rooms. The whole place is well decorated and sits at the top of the village. The lodge is spotless and Manager Judy povides great service. We left...
