We stayed two nights here and i wish had read all the reviews especially bad ones earlier. Though the views are nice there is nothing else to recommend. As another traveller wrote, Spring had disappeared ,either she does not exist or lives in a different place and communicates by email only. The rooms are very small and super noisy, once you return after hikes its difficult to relax as there is constant thumping of footsteps .Balconies are rudimentary. The place has many RATS , we didnt dare leave balcony doors open. The husband ,wife and mother who run the place are friendly and kid is cute but its unpleasant to see kids sprawled on the main lobhy/ dining area floor while eating . One feels as if one is intruding in someones house rather than staying in a hotel or inn. Food is average , one xan easily find better and more varied food in restaraunts in the village. Had I not planned already i would have booked only one night or done a day trip .

it's a long climb up from the car park in the mist and rain but this hotel is worth it. Magnificently quirky wonderfully decorated and so so quiet. Our room (Top A) was in fact 3 chambers, 2 balconies and included a Japanese style wooden bath and full tea making facilities. On our stay the weather was not great but the glimpsed views of a small village complete with donkeys and rice terraces were magical. Staff were more than charming.

The rooms at this family run hotel are on the small side with rustic decor, though are comfortable. The small balcony is a bonus to sit and enjoy the views over the rice terraces. The restaurant was a delightful surprise. The menu is somewhat understated, but the dinner dishes were freshly prepared and really good. Finally, the staff are friendly and attentive. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

The hotel is a good 25 minutes walk uphill from the car park, their are local people ready and waiting to carry your luggage up to the hotel for a fee. Our guide suggested giving a fee of 40 Yuan per suitcase each way. We enjoyed the walk through the local village to reach Long J One Hotel. When we arrived we were given a warm welcome by staff and shown to our rooms which were small but traditional with lots of wooden features including as previous reviewer has stated large wooden tree trunks at the end of the beds which are in the way of an already small room. Small balcony leading from our room overlooking the fantastic views of the rice terraces. We had breakfast and lunch at the hotel during our stay food was very good. We had a very comfortable stay here and found the staff extremely helpful and spoke good English.

This is a really great hotel - we stayed for one night to see the rice terraces. The accommodation is quirky, comfortable and the staff were friendly (we didn’t even mind being woken up by the nearby roosters - 4:18 a.m. onwards ). Also, surprisingly good WiFi due to boosters in the bedrooms. Views across the rice terraces are amazing. We had dinner there too - an excellent meal - we would recommend the bamboo chicken in particular (you need to request two hours in advance for preparation/cooking time).
