The grounds are all soft sand. There is a dock with loungers on it that most people hang out on. The beach itself is quite small but you can get into the water. If you want a nice beach with Caribbean blue water, I recommend driving down to Baby Beach. At the time we were at Coral Reef, they had sand chairs you could borrow to take with you.
