This is a beautiful spot on the French countryside. When I have been here in the past the food was fantastic. At this occasion I was not impressed. The food was rather average, and cheese stroller was available only upon request. Rooms are still good, Internet is decent.

The Gnomes stayed in room 2, Beatrice de Bourgogne on 1st September. It was nice to be offered a choice of room. This one is spacious with a 4 poster bed. The bathroom was extremely small and the hand held shower in the bath was old fashioned and difficult to use. The separate toilet was a waste of time as...

During a daytrip we end up here for lunch. The restaurant looks promising, lunch was (that day?) helas served in the brasserie near the pool. It was a disappointing one. We had a salad from the salad bar, and we could choose from some grilled meat for lunch. Not bad, not good either. We hoped for something more classy

We arrived by car and parking was very easy. But dont bring your Heavy luggage inside as there is no elevator. We booked a superior room, the most expensive they have and was shown to our room on the second floor and was told that we were upgraded. The room was rather small and there was no A/c, not a...

Although it looks inviting and romantic in photos and from the nearby road, our stay at Chateau Chapeau Cornu proved very disappointing. The rooms are small with limited facilities. Walls shake when neighbours' doors close. During our 3 day stay, there was a large convention group that played children's games in the grounds and a group of school children were...

Beautiful surroundings and countryside. A truly historic and cultural authentic 12th Century setting. Friendly hospitality with wonderful cuisine. In short a gem. A great stopover for ny traveller through Europe or wanting a few days of quiet solitude.

The facilities were perfect, the location and setting are of course brilliant. Highly recommended. The only area where things can improve: speed. For business, lunch should be much faster. Not sure how easy that is to combine with leisure/ tourists in the height of August. I would recommend it for business, with maybe set lunch and boxes arranged beforehand.

reading the reviews, I note the divergence between very good and very poor reviews. I wonder if the bad ones are mainly from Americans? I would see that their expectations would be let down by the facilities of a 13th century chateau - hence not all mod cons, and by the 'meagre' quantities of food compared to the giant (for...

I was very impressed by this hotel. There is a specific flair and you feel history and hospitality everywhere. The historic building is highlighted by nice rooms and an exquisite restaurant. I was there for a business trip but recommend it for a nice and relaxing stay, as well.
