This boutique lodge is tucked away at this quiet little village surrounded with barley and wheat field. What a lovely surprise spending few days here with total relaxation and wonderful hospitality. Everything we were craving for, down-to-earth hospitality, simple meals throughout the day and beautiful matsutake mushroom feast ( we were in the middle of mushroom seasons), from sashimi matsutake to pan-fried or stir-fried matsutake, just simply ask the front desk, and the daily finds from the nearby villager at your door step within mins. Don’t forget to drop by at Estelle’s guesthouse which is located at approximately 3 mins walk from the lodge, either have a meal or a coffee in the afternoon, unwind and be inspired with amazing stories from the owner’s over 20 years adventure in Yunnan. …
This is a perfect place for relax. We picked our own food from the garden and the food taste really good. The hotel staffs are really nice with great service. This time is green and there are several big walnut tree in the village and will be great to be back in Autumn.
Very charming small hotel located in a small village among the mountains, very warmy and hospitable hotel staff, especially the manager(!). Everywhere clean, fresh, warm - especially by the burning fireplace. Local food was tasty - especially lunches and dinners. Here you feel like you are visiting a close family. Everybody want you to be happy and glad here. The rooms are spacious, well-equipped, beautifully decorated with very comfortable large beds. A small disadvantage for a foreign tourist - hotel staff does not know English at all - thank God the manager saved the situation - she could communicate with us in English. Many thanks to Ms. Manager!
A very warm welcome and a deliciois spicy Lunch made us feel like home. The spacious room with traditional furnishing was cosy and inviting. After the afternoon Tea with seceral bisquits fruits tea and snacks we went hiking. The Landscape is just breathtaking and we really enjoyed some insights into the daily farmers lives. This place and the hosts are lovely and we would love to come back sometime... Thanks for your hospitality ***
Very peaceful hotel, enjoyed relaxing in the library and playing the board games. After our morning hike they set up a glamorous hotpot picnic on the hillside, and in the afternoon our kids loved painting the wooden bowls. The evening meal was a real treat, the lemon chicken was particularly delicious, and the food presentation was 10 out of 10.
