Booked One Battaleys Mews with Airbnb in June 2021 for a two week break late March 2022. 4 weeks before our travel date we received an email cancelling the booking. We struggled to find alternative accomodation at short notice. Very disappointing is putting it mildly!
Great Locations ,Clean with well appointed grounds. Pool very nice with Great Bartender Cathy. Manager Freda extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. Our housekeeper and part time bartender Secura did a great job and extremely helpful. Close by transportation on the local Reggie Bus to most parts of the Island. All of the amenities to have a great trip
The house is well equipped and spacious and comfortable. Very clean and kitchen suitable for cooking in, if desired. Close to Mullins Beach (< 5 min walk). Pool in complex well maintained. Owner is informative and easy to deal with.
Arrived last night and turned up to a very welcomed food pack including milk, tea and coffee. Tbe house is lovely and well laid out the girls have already eyed up the jaccuci and we have just seen monkeys in a neighbouring tree. Should be a great two weeks in Barbados, lovely house as a base which is stocked with everything you could want for your stay on this beautiful island
this was a lovely beach house, minutes away from one of the pretty platinum coast beaches. the house was nicely furnished, three bathrooms (one huge ensuite in mbdrm) made it a comfortable place to relax after a day of hiking, snorkelling, etc. well-appointed kitchen made bbq on the patio easy and delicious (almost better than retaurants....every bajan parish has a fresh fish market....so good!). our host treated us like gold.....we had house service twice (in a week!). all in all a wonderful place to stay, especially with kids.
One of my best experiences of renting a villa to date, just such a relaxing holiday experience that it created for my family and I. I found the owner really contactable and answered all my questions in advance of our stay, even a question I had on arrival was picked up very quickly. A key feature is that the villa is cleaned twice a week, which really adds to the relaxation, as often you find yourself on holiday doing things like cleaning you would normally do at home, but none of that here! The house keeper was a lovely lady, who was chatty and friendly (like most people are in Barbados) and is the same person throughout. The villa itself is spacious, with good facilities and a quality feel. There is a small dip pool for jumping in after a day of exploring, or the kids used it when we were just relaxing st the villa. The development is very secure, with electric gates and a security guard on 24/7. The facilities are good, with tennis courts and swimming pool (which was always very quiet). Location is good and in easy reach of Mullins beach, which we walked to. We found renting a small car was a good move and would recommend. A couple of very minor points of feedback. The bar is not open all the time, so don't expect that to be a key feature, it really depended on if there were people around. The kids park could do with updating, but wasn't a big deal. The master bedroom could do with some blackout curtains, as the sun is up pretty early in August and we often woke up early for that reason. Final one would be a couple of comfy sun loungers for the garden would be a good idea (although there are nice chairs to be fair). Overall, I would highly recommend. Brilliant holiday villa, in a great location.…
We stayed for 2 weeks with 3 children under 10. All bedrooms have a/c, fan and built in wardrobes hairdryers, as well as chest of drawers side tables with lamps The master has a massive en-suite with bath and huge walk in shower and his and hers sinks. Also small balcony with table and 2 chairs. The 2 other double bedrooms have Juliet style balcony. There has further bathroom off the landing with large shower. Downstairs has w/c off the hall leading to large open plan living/dining and kitchen All cleanly decorated in bright white and tiled throughout. The dining table easily can seat 6 people. Plenty of seating area, large LCD TV, with PS4, Netflix and Bose Bluetooth speaker. The Wi-Fi speed was pretty good although did loose connection to Netflix a few times, not that we were indoors much The kitchen had just about every you could imagine, even things we don’t have at home, like steam cooker and ice shaver. The outside area had seating on the covered patio and spa tub as well as bbq We generally bought groceries for breakfast and lunch from Jorden’s in speightstown which is about 3 min drive (or 10 mins drive to Massy in holetown, which is more expensive) Or walked to Rubis petrol station which is less than 5 min walk down a slight hill which you could get bread, bacon and drinks etc. for quickness This is also roughly where Mullins beach is on the opposite side of the road which is a beautiful spot and very lively. Beach bar and lots of watersports. The communal pool is not huge but easy entrance steps for children and small pool for children All nice sunbeds around the pool with parasols, gardens again with chairs. A small play area with swings/play tower. The tennis court was in very good condition and all the ground beautifully maintained. The small pool bar was nice to grab a cold beer or rum punch,(5bbd and 7.5bbd) and seemed to open at 10am till about 4 ish from what we saw I don’t believe they sold food, but we sometimes just took baguettes etc. we made in the house to have picnic by the pool as that’s what our children love doing. We were there during our children’s 2 weeks Easter holiday, and hardly saw a sole the whole time we were there, and pretty much only people at the pool. The property is in good location for the whole of the west coast and felt very safe in a gated community. With some great top class restaurants, all be it very expensive, as is all of Barbados Tides is our favorite but swill set us back best part of 1000 bbd for 5 of us Main course being about 100bbd and bottle of wine the same. Lone star food is fantastic having been recently been taken over and refurb, but staff not as friendly as Tides. Nishi was amazing Smart people carrier to holetown return will cost about 100 bbd We used baby sitter once, which cost 25bbd per hour per child, or did a deal for 45bbd for my 3 children Juma was also one of our favorites for Lunch as was Mullins; you have free beach sun beds if you are eating. Bombas had lovely food but very small portion, and slow (Barbados speed) service We went to the wildlife reserve which is about 15/20 mins drive away and takes about 1 hour to walk round, was nice change for the kids Then opposite is the forest walk, which takes about 30 mins (very hilly, but pretty) We did the Atlantis submarine trip from Bridgetown which was incredible and dived to 144 ft. But the best trip was seeing the turtles, totally amazing snorkeling a definite highlight for us. We defiantly recommend this house to family preferring to do things themselves not in a hotel and lot cheaper. We would defiantly stay again! …
We travelled here with 3 young children. It was absolutely amazing!!!! Nothing about this condo complex disappointed. The condo itself had everything we needed and was beautiful. The staff were amazing, the pool was fantastic and quiet and the walk to the beach is short and easy. Highly recommend :)
Very good place! Staff super nice I stayed there for almost 4mths. 24hr security, great pool and bar. Minutes from towns etc. Massive master bedroom with walk in shower, huge kitchen and your own "plunge pool" great for cooling down.
I was with my friends for a week and this is the best place i could imagine on the island. They have inner pool plus outer pool.Nice bar and restaurant.Gated community plus few restaurants near the beach. They are bit far from city but its just 1/2hr from the center
