We planned to stay one night only in the Pelican Lake Guesthouse, but we ended up with three nights: The place is extremely lovely: we had a quite bedroom with bathroom attached and could use the very well kept garden and a sitting room, full with intersting literature in different languages. We enjoyed the kindness, hospitality, help (including laundry) and the very relaxed atmosphere created by the owners. It was really a pleasure and we had the feeling to be welcome guests. The owner shared his deep knowledge about the nearby biosphere reserve during a three hours walk with us.

Just spent 4 amazing days here and we were sad to leave. As soon as you step in you immediately feel at home, thanks to the lovely ambience and the way the owners, Jerry and Mike, spoil their guests. They both helped us make the most of our visit, recommending what to see and do, and taking care of all the logistics. Best of all, they are warm and genuine, and have a deep respect for our fragile Earth, which is also evidenced by the homemade, scrumptious vegan/vegetarian breakfast and meals. Just awesome! Our room was spatious, clean and comfortable, and we really enjoyed our time relaxing in the beautiful garden full of flowers and birds. Can't imagine staying anywhere else in Srebarna! Heartfelt thanks for a memorable stay! Xx

From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel at home. Jerry and Mike are the most warm, welcoming, conscious couple I've met in a long time. They are lovers of the Earth and all of its inhabitants, evidenced by the fact that they readily cook delicious vegan and vegetarian fare and by how they went out of their way to help me find an animal rescue group for a mother dog and her puppies who we had found abandoned at a rest stop on our way there. Happily, when we went back to check on her she had been rescued already. My husband and I loved kicking back in their splash pool and basically enjoying some much-needed R&R as he had just finished and intensive week, working in Rousse. It's a completely peaceful and quiet place with the most beautiful garden I've ever seen. Mike leads bird-watching trips around the lake and Jerry will even do your laundry for a nominal charge, which is a big plus if you've been traveling awhile, as we had. Thanks very much for a lovely holiday!!!

If you want to feel at home the moment you step in, go to Pelican Lake Guesthouse. The place itself is great, a beautiful house and a more beautiful garden, but the top is represented by its owners. Jerry and Mike are so friendly, open and know the "science" of welcoming people. You will feel great from the very beginning. We should also mention the surroundings, a natural reservation, with nature at its best, water, trees and birds. In a few words, nice people and nice surroundings! We highly recommend this place!!!
