I am a cyclist, and I'm travelling now for 8 months. So I've seen many hotels. This one is not bad, but the comfort is very basic. The negative thing is that it is very noisy. Not the guests make a lot of noise, but the owners, the family is living downstairs at the reception. The TV was very loud, they were screaming and laughing very loudly. I went downstairs to ask to be more quite (the funny thing is that they have a paper in the room saying: "don't be noisy and respect other guests) but that didn't help a lot. The sheets were not really clean to. Many spots of previous "activity"

I was looking for a place to stay long term since I am currently working for an International NGO in Kon Tum, VN. When we found this place, the daughter wanted to charge me for every little detail including over night friends who were visiting at 30,000 VND per day to cover water costs. (My local friends told me they pay less than 30,000 VND per month just for water in their home). Furthermore, the daughter of the hotel on several occasions requested I watch her 9 month infant as she had to go carry out errands, she wanted to charge me 15,000 VND for eating a very small bowl of rice (which they invited me to join them for dinner, and naturally you would think it would be free of charge) and they rarely changed my sheets, nor did they ever clean my room. They even lied about the new sheets as I found hair and stains all over them. In addition, I found a lizard on the ground and the cleaning woman went ahead and picked it up, leaving the gutts there, and proceeded to use the same towel to wipe the cabinets. Cost for foreigners is at a high rate of 150,000 and up. Rather than spending your money here, I suggest you go look somewhere else and ALWAYS ask to check out the room before you put down your money. Plus door locks are NOT safe, easily pried open. I felt for how much I was paying for I was staying at a Motel with a negative 1 star. Currently I've switched to hotel Thinh Vuong, much better (Check out the reviews and pictures) and much better rate (you get more for what you pay for). DON'T COME HERE, I WARNED YOU! Dishonest people and total rip off with HORRIBLE SERVICE.

For the same price we could have stayed at a much better hotel where the sheets had been washed !! plus got a breakfast.

The VTH is strictly a budget hotel suitable for the more carefree, independent traveler, backpacker, local or stingy old man. It is centrally located on Nguyen Hue road at the opposite end from the Wooden Church, close to the Dakbla river promenade. It is an excellent budget option in the more tourist-friendly part of town close to all the action. Our three-person room rate was under 100,000 VND & had a balcony facing the road. Its best feature was the large wooden fake french-style balcony doors which eases the feeling of being stingy a little. The room was quite large with tiled floors, mosquito nets, large windows & 4 sitting chairs with table which are common in Vietnamese households for the purpose of conversation. The aircon worked fine & we had a ceiling fan.The room was very spacious clean. Shame about the view from the balcony. At the end of the hallway towards the back of the building on each floor there is a lounge room of sorts with couch & TV. I have read on other reviews that this hotel is a little dodgy because it is frequented by girls of that nature. For the 2 night we stayed there we didn’t notice any creepy men or were we offered any happy massages. We got on well with the staff who seemed friendly & genuine. The hotel was located next to one of the better restaurants in town, Dakbla’s which is filled with old black & white photographs of local tribes peoples of the central highlands. There are display cabinets filled with authentic artifacts & clothing while the walls & ceilings are covered in history. Ideally located near the river cafe's where young people go to relax. It is probably the best thing to do in Kontum after sunset,
