Stayed here prior to visit to Durham - the location was excellent just on outskirts of Chester Le Street, but was easy to find with ample parking - facilities were as you would expect from Travelodge, clean tidy and good sized room - what was an added bonus, was the Church Mouse pub next door, which was really excellent - lovely atmosphere and busy, which is always a good sign and the food was very tasty, with great service - there is also an Indian restaurant two minutes walk away, but did not use - our room over looked the front of the Travelodge, with main road in front, but noise was not a problem, in fact it was quiet and slept very well - would not hesitate to stay here again when in the area

Stayed here one night and found the bed very comfortable. More modernised than other Travelodges I've stayed at. Very clean although the kettle strain part was a bit dirty. The accessible room had a walk in shower and was large which provides easy access for wheelchairs etc. Staff were friendly and helpful.

I stayed here while at the cricket, which is just under 2 miles away, There is plenty of car parking, and my room was spacious and clean, with everything I needed. It was at the back, which was good, as the road at the front was quite busy, but I couldn't hear anything. I was a bit anxious when I discovered my room was right next to the door into the adjoining pub, but even on Saturday night, there was no noise. I would certainly stay here again. My only grumble was that the 30 minute free WiFi per day had to be used in one session - you couldn't have 15 minutes morning and evening.

Stayed here again the other day. The rooms need some money spending on them. The radiator under the window needs replacing or removing as its showing signs of unsightly rust. I suspect its not used these days as there’s an electric convection heater in the room ( which is not very efficient). The carpet is showing signs of wear. The TV is too small to be perched in the corner. It really needs wall mounting. The desk is old and showing its age and the room lighting needs updating. The shower needs a pump as its very low pressure. The doors need replacing too along with the antique key system. However it is very clean. The room I was allocated had its carpet cleaned that day and was still wet with a very strong smell of carpet shampoo remaining which gave me a headache. I went out for a few hours to let it air. Nice large free carpark with no height restrictions. I’ll be back sometime soon.

The family room was lovely- spacious with a separate area for the children to sleep in. In addition, a square area under the window which the children could spread out into- quite the nicest Travelodge I have ever stayed in as a family
