We stayed at wildflower hall for over a week. It was a surreal experience, the hotel is beyond beautiful and it’s safe to say that it’s not just one of the best hotels not just in India, but globally. What enhances the experience, is the warmth of the staff who go out of the way to make your stay great. The hospitality is par excellence. The chefs, Mr Rajat and Mr Anil are fantastic, they curate food according to your taste and choice. Mr Vishal (the GM) is so efficient and kind. He goes out of the way to redress even the smallest grievances faced by guests. They work together to make sure you have a delightful stay and make you feel at home. This was truly a memorable experience and I can’t wait to visit again.
Location : mesmerising Cleanliness: top notch Amenities: finest Food : the best Hospitality :better than the best We went here to celebrate our anniversary and the staff made sure that the celebration is unsurpassable. We hadn’t requested for anything yet my room was decorated with flowers, candles and our pictures. A tasty cake and gifts for each one of us was kept to surprise us. Food: exceptional taste and quantity. Bhawana made sure each one of us gets food to our liking and her suggestions were apt for us. They went an extra mile to even cook something for my kid off the menu. The lasagna is a must try and chef Anil actually invited me to the kitchen to learn the same. Amenities: heated infinity jacuzzi with the most magnificent view. A kids games room, good WiFi connectivity, heated pool, activities for kids. The list just goes on. Hospitality: extremely helpful and welcoming staff. Right from the front desk (Nirvana) to food n beverage staff (bhawana) to the pool staff (Vinod) to the floor manager (Divesh) each one was always available and gave good suggestions. View: unmatched So to round it off it’s a must visit place for the perfect holiday.…
Its been a year since we had travelled on a holiday due to the pandemic !! Wild Flower Hall was always on our bucket list since we had heard so much about this paradise in the hills of Shimla. We were a family of 4 and booked ourselves in their biggest suite "Lord Kitchener's Suite" which was an experience in itself. Once we got past the madding traffic of Shimla, the drive to the resort is pretty scenic. The entrance suddenly appears on your right and the steep drive up to the resort was a delight since we had a powerful SUV. The staff was waiting to welcome us as we arrived. Luggage was quickly taken away and before we knew it we were in the lobby. THE CHECK IN: The welcome was typically Himachal style and we were all gifted a beautiful local woollen cap which I still treasure on return . The hot ginger tea was amazingly refreshing after the long drive. I was delighted to be ushered to our room where once we were comfortable the remaining check-in process was completed (Hotels around the world need to learn this from Oberoi). THE ROOM: The Lord Kitchener's Suite is BIG and well appointed !! I loved the space and decor which was typical of old British style....!! The living room with comfortable sofas, a large study and a fire place was lovely. The kids were greeted with beautiful welcome from our chocolates and pastries. The four poster bed was divine and the view from our room was mesmerising. The balconies are mock...so don,t expect to walk out on them. THE POOL: The out door Jacuzzi is the USP of this hotel and so is the indoor pool. We were lucky that the pool opened on the day we arrived and the kids loved jumping into the pool after almost a year. If you are staying at this resort....don't miss the OUTDOOR JACUZZI. THE FOOD: We had all our meals at the hotel. The breakfast was always outdoors and we loved our slow leisurely meals. The staff was always happy to serve us way beyond the breakfast timing and it was delight to spend our mornings in the balcony outside. During dinner we tried the local Himachal food which the chef especially prepared for us . Its a good idea to speak to the chef during the day incase you wish to have the local food....with time at hand they tend to do a great job. Other favourites and must try at the hotel are their Veg Burgers, The English High Tea platter (Indian version also available), Khao Suey. Food is excellent at the hotel !! THE STAFF : I believe any great team is lead by a great leader. A special mention has to be made for Vishal (General Manager) who was there to welcome us on arrival (never seen it in India) and was around the premise meeting guest and asking of their well being. The same hospitality was shown by the entire staff at the hotel. I cant think of one instance where we met a staff who would not help.....each one was as humble and professional as they could be....!! THE PICNIC/ ACTIVITES: The hotel can organise a picnic at this 100 year old cottage with a beautiful garden on a peak if you wish to.....they have an exclusive right to the place and its worth spending a day with your family there. The hotel sends their staff to serve etc and they have a menu especially for this picnic. There are two trails directly from the hotel premise which are wonderful for the kids and should be done atleast once during the stay. Wildflower Hall is amazing in every way and I would highly recommend we all try this paradise once in your lifetime. Its worth going back again and again.…
This year it was our 15th Wedding Anniversary we had heard a lot about the Wildflower Hall, Oberoi so booked it for the special occasion. I had mentioned to them while booking that i would be celebrating my special day with them. On reaching this Lovely property by the Oberio's we were overwhelmed by the warm welcome by the lovely staff at the front office. The warmth and beautiful ambiance of the grand entrance lobby put an instant smile on our faces. Before doing the check in formalities we were given a traditional welcome and lovely bouquet of flowers and staff wising us Happy Anniversary. The room was breathtaking with a lovely Valley view. We had a look around the lovely property the wooden interiors and the warm lights all over the beautiful property put the warmth in the air. Despite temperature being 5 degree outside it was so warm and cozy inside. The floor manager Mr.Divesh Bhardwaj and his lovely team comprising of Mr.Manoj, Mr Chirag and Mr. Lalit did a splendid job in decorating our room with flower, balloons, photos, gifts and a beautiful Anniversary cake. This was the best anniversary celebration for us till date. I personally would suggest to celebrate special occasions at this lovely place called Wildflower Hall,An Oberoi Resort at Shimla in the Mountains of Himalaya. Luxury at its best by the Oberois, Keep it UP in helping us in making memorable memories on special occasions. Cheers.…
I would like to place on record that I had a delightful visit to the Oberoi Wildflower, Shimla. I am now 63 years old and we visited along with our grown-up kids and spouses. I am happy to record that it was an extraordinary experience combining a classy property, personalized management of food( I am a diabetic), and warmth of hospitality which we will not forget. I would like to record my gratitude to the General Manager Mr. Vishal, the chef Rohit and the F&D Manager Mr. Prashant.
