We 6 couples along with kids had stayed. The hotel rooms are good. Higher floor gives good view. Mr. Murat and Mr.Jagdish are very friendly from the restaurant. But the spoiler is the food. The chef tried his best but we did not enjoy the food at all except for the breakfast. I do not recommend this hotel if u r planing for a half board or full board. The room service is prompt

The Nilaya is a gorgeous boutique hotel snuggled in the lush green forest away from the mad rush of the city and it only gets more breath-taking when you walk in. I was in complete awe when I saw the property. The Nilaya is about 45 mins away from the Shimla railway station and it is worth the travel if you are looking for upscale yet comfortable stay. Waking up to the view from the room was pure serene and majestic. The interiors of the room are beautiful and not to miss - the great ambience in the hotel's dining room and bar. It is usually not the rooms nor the amenities that make a hotel stay a wonderful – it is the hospitality. The staff was incredibly helpful, and the amenities were great. WiFi is also free, both in your room and all around the hotel. The Internet speed is quite decent. They also provide few activities like nature walk, village tour, star gazing and picnics if the weather permits. We were extremely pleased that The Nilaya has many delicious food options, including local Himachali food in the menu, available. In addition to room service, there is a full-service restaurant, bar and a spa on-site. The Nilaya has reasonably priced large buffet with excellent food choices. We spent two nights here for the birthday weekend in April 2021 and I must say everything was great. Whether you are enjoying a meal at a restaurant, or looking out window, or taking a stroll at the – beautiful views and fresh mountain breeze are guaranteed! I am looking for to visit here again in the winter season and will highly recommend The Nilaya.

Nice compact place. Very artistically done, especially the attic rooms. Staff is very professional. Want to make a special mention of their gardener who with his hard work and pure passion has cultivated some beautiful plants, especially, succulents. A welcome change from the run of the mill flowering plants.

Hello Anuradha! Thank you for sharing this review. Sanju, our mali, would be over the moon when I share this review with him tomorrow. He's so passionate about the plants and we love all the experiments he keeps doing at The Nilaya! Glad you found the place artistic and compact, that's the gist of it :) We look forward to welcoming you again! Best Laksh Arora The Nilaya

This property is very beautiful. The interiors are so minimalistic yet modern. There was not even one negative point about this property. The staff is so professional and soft spoken. They have variety of scrumptious dishes to order. The best thing is that they make you feel at home The staff would arrange anything you want frome nature walks to bonfire. This property has different spots to spend time, the gazebo was my favorite. Property is also pet friendly, if you don't own a pet you can definitely play with one. Overall, my stay at this hotel was perfect, i cannot ask for anything else.
