We stayed there for three days ath the Nilaya and had an amazing time there.
The Nilaya offers a cozy, modern and luxurious stay and the views around it are spectacular.
The staff is very courteous, helpful and professionally trained and its noteworthy to mention Mr Neelam's (GM) warm hospitality towards the guests. Everything about Nilaya is so special and handpicked, from its interior to glass roof bar/ restaurant and paintings.
It’s very well thought, even the rooms are named with astute uniqueness.
The best part about this hotel is it’s small steps towards environment and sustainability like no usage of plastic water bottles, they offer glass bottles in every room and refill it with RO purified water as required. The only issue worth addressing is the Wifi speed and the Coverage inside the rooms.
Overall, it is a great budget- friendly, environment-friendly, luxurious, modern hotel which caters to everybody’s much needed rejuvenating stay.

Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We apologize for the delay in responding, but we're thrilled to hear from you. We’re delighted that you enjoyed the cozy, modern, and luxurious atmosphere at The Nilaya, along with the spectacular views. It’s great to know that our efforts towards sustainability, like using glass bottles, were appreciated. Mr. Neelam will be pleased to hear that his hospitality made a positive impression. We’re also happy you liked the unique touches, from the interiors to the glass roof bar. We apologize for the inconvenience with the WiFi speed and coverage. We’re working on improvements to make sure your next stay is even better. We look forward to welcoming you back for another rejuvenating stay—hopefully with even more stellar views and a now fixed speedy WiFi!

Every trip creates memories and a stay at the Nilaya created many special ones. Away from the hustle of life, in the lap of nature we had a great family stay with hill view, sunshine filling our aesthetically designed, clean, spacious and comfortable rooms with warmth and relaxation. The food was delectable and the ambience made us smile and hum with the chirping of birds. The staff was welcoming, polite and greatly supportive. Room service was excellent and cabs were also easily available. Garden, spa, attic, books, food, music, lights and the emerald canopy gave us one of the most peaceful and refreshing stays. The attic offers the most peaceful moments with an amazing view of mountain and valleys 360 degree which can be enjoyed with books, music or the various activities available. Guided walk under the starry sky, nature walk to the woods nearby and sunset view from the swings and seating area left us wanting to stay a little longer at this beautiful boutique hotel!

Pros: Lovely Place.. Newly built Accommodation.. The view from the Rooms are wonderful!! The food is great..Right place to go in woods n relax yourself..
Cons: The rooms are directly under the open restaurant, during meal timings the noise from the furniture creeps in continuously. The acoustics inside the room can be improved or the furnitures can be given rubber felt/Pads to create lesser noise.
Also the guests were using speakers for partying. In hotels the sound levels of TVs are also restricted to create a calmer environment.

Hello Mr. Monty! Thank you for sharing your review with us. We appreciate you highlighting the sound issue and are happy to share that almost all of the furniture now has felt pads. That little improvement reduced the sound and how! We generally inform guests to lower their speaker volume after 10pm in case they are using their own, might be that the staff missed it or the guests were not co-operating. Either way, we'll make sure that the team notes this point. We look forward to welcoming you again Best Laksh Arora The Nilay

If you look at the ambiance of the property then it rates at 4 star but there is literally no service. One of the owners was present on the property and it seems he had instructed the House Keeping staff to put basic necessities like a Bath mat also only when requested. Toiletries were also on demand. Breakfast timing was from 8-10.30 am but the breakfast was never ready before 8.30 am and at times only after 9 am.
Can't understand why have the timing as 8-10.30?? Day 1 Sambhar was over before even half of guests had finished breakfast, the chef added water to whatever sambhar was left and served, making it unpalatable.
Similarly if you asked for coffee or tea on the table, it would not be delivered even after 15 min. The tables in the dining area and the floor were dirty.
The property which is tastefully built is being let down by poor service and trying to do cost cutting at the expense of Guest Comfort and hygiene.

Hello, First of all, I am sorry that you did not have a great experience and were let down by the service standards at The Nilaya. Please allow me to address all the points that you have mentioned and what we can possibly do to avoid a repetition of these experiences. Bath Mats - During the summer season, we were indeed running low on bath mats, they weren't removed due to cost-saving measures but as a standardization, till the stock arrived. Amenities - We do offer a full amenity kit on-demand, and place a dental and sanitary kit by default in every room. Right next to it we have mentioned that all other amenities (and a list of them all) can be delivered to your room on demand, 24 hours a day. Breakfast timing - I am sorry to hear that the team hasn't been following a strict timeline. You are absolutely right that 8am means 8 am set up for breakfast, and that refills and tea service should be prompt. In the past 1-2 months, we have been regularly doing audits of the breakfast to avoid such unfortunate issues. Owner's presence and cost-saving measures - Please trust me, coming from the horses' mouth, that this is not my intention. And definitely not the guidance and training are given to the team for service standards. There seems to be a gap within the team in which set protocols - specifically for breakfast are not being followed. I do apologize again for the bathmat issue while reasoning with you that the amenities are an additional service on demand, and we have been quite transparent with that. I am positive that this review will go a long way for us to make our team understand that such misses aren't acceptable, and I thank you for highlighting this. This only helps us do better. Thank you Laksh Arora

I would have rated it less than 1 star, had the option been available.. we checked in on 3rd March and were forced to chk out on 4th march 2021..
Reason - wanted complete amount in advance, we opted for package with bfst n dinner. We were informed about unlimited food but when we ordered, hotel staff reacted in a worst possible way. Quality of food was pathetic and due to less occupancy, no food options were available. Hotel staff is very very arrogant.. so pls avoid this resort as many other and better options like Koti or Marigold Sarovar Portico etc.. just 2 mins away from Nilaya...

The property, which is a few km away from Mashobra, offers a quiet and peaceful getaway for those who do not want to stay in the hustle and bustle of the main city area.
The Nilaya is a small but, modern and chic boutique hotel which has the best of amenities. The decor and vibe of the place is amazing as each of the rooms have been designed a little differently. The food served is delicious and the ambience of the restaurant as well the glass roof bar is beautiful. Apart from that, this property also houses a gaming area in it's attic where one would find all sorts of games from Xbox to a pool table to board games, catering to almost all age groups.
The things I liked the most are the nature walk during the day and stargazing session at night (if you're lucky to go during clear skies). The staff is so sweet and helpful and quick to service. You can ask them about anything relating to the places nearby and they will surely help you out. Another thing I liked was the director/owner's involvement to make sure every guest had a pleasant stay at their hotel.
In all, if you want to just chill and not go out of the hotel, this is the place to be. Would love to visit this place again soon.

Our stay at The Nilaya was absolutely magical! The location of the hotel is perfect, away from the city with great views and perfect silence. The staff was super friendly and helpful. They made sure we got everything we needed. The attic is absolutely gorgeous, I miss curling up with a book and reading there for hours. The food was fantastic too. I worked from the hotel the entire time, and it was a comfortable experience with respect to the wifi, something I was super skeptical of while leaving for the hills. The Nilaya is one of the few pet friendly boutique hotels I've seen, and thanks to the policy our entire family could come along. If you're looking for a new location to wfh or want a small getaway from the city with your family, I think The Nilaya is perfect for you. Missing Mango and Litchi lots xx

We arrived there on Jan 28, 2021 to have lunch and stay for the weekend. However, the manager refused to entertain our request for lunch as he was over pressed due to a kitty party whose guests had not even arrived! They couldn't even give us pasta/pizza/noodles & didn't have the basic courtesy of offering us water. Sheer disappointment. Ended up not staying & would not recommend.

Hello! Apologies for the hassle that you had to go through at the reception. We are sorry that we could not accommodate a table for you at the restaurant since it was full. We run on reservations by guests and must honor their bookings. Reserving a table is encouraged for all our guests, it is afterall, the only way to ensure that everyone is happy. I have definitely highlighted to the team that in case a guest is turned away or has to wait for a table, water and basic tea and coffee should be offered to them. Apologies that it was not done, definitely a miss in service from our end. We are sure that enough time has passed and we would be happy to welcome you again. Our pasta/pizza are served as main courses, and we are sure you'd love them. Best Laksh Arora The Nilaya

The Nilaya is one of Mashobra's most magnificent hotels, located at a high altitude. The entire stay experience was surreal. The location is surrounded by wild cedar trees, the essence of which soothes the soul. The aura of this site tugs at the heartstrings of romanticism. Away from the city so you get the much needed calmness and quality time with your loved ones. The team is welcoming and caring. Food is also amazing.A must visit property.
