Paradise, absolute paradise. If you can book the executive suite. Total privacy, your own pool, outdoor bath and a private pool. This hotel has everything you are looking for. There is a polynesian buffet and show twice a week which you should not miss. Incredible food with a wonderful show. Breakfast is delicious, the Lunch and dinner options have all been excellent. No faults, highly recommend a stay here. Book the executive suit if you can, you will not regret it.

Just one word to say - Paradise. We booked an overwater bungalow for 8 nights - worth every cent. Very spacious, fantastic view over the lagoon. We had our own access to the water - chrystal clear and warm with plenty of tropical fish. A little reef right in front of the bungalow, perfect for snorkeling. Amazing staff. Always in a good mood, very friendly. You really feel welcome. Great food in the restaurant, well presented - colourful and full of flavour. Good value for money. Highlight was the trip to the blue lagoon. Amazing crew, swimming with sharks, great barbecue - it's a must do and highly recommended. My wife was full of tears the day we left - an amazing place to be and hard to leave.

Beautiful, quiet resort with overwater bungalows, beach units and for ultimate privacy, there are walled in compounds. We stayed in the overwater bungalows and if you're going to travel all the way to the Tuamotu Islands, I highly recommend the overwaters. They are spacious, relatively new with large bathrooms and offer dramatic views of the evening sunset. The resort is self-contained since there is very little else in the way of nearby restaurants and shopping. I went for the diving and there is a Topdive center located right on the property and the dive sites are only a 5-10 minute boat ride away from the hotel. The snorkeling is very good right off the beach or balcony with a decent amount of coral and fish. I even watched a small lemon shark swim past the balcony one evening. The restaurant and bar offer a nice variety of meals and drinks and obviously the best items will be the freshly caught local fish. They do a buffet twice a week followed with a show of Polynesian dancers and music. The buffet was the same on both occasions and reasonably palatable. The service is ok as long as you stay relaxed and remember you're on "island time".

My partner and I were there three nights in an overwater bungalow. Very spacious, with a terrific layout. I loved the way the deck had two sections - one covered and one open. Great to stay out of the sun if you want. Great service from Ghislaine in particular at the front desk. So helpful with any question. Really recommend the day trips to Blue Lagoon and Reef Island. Food is super - great menu and high quality.

We booked this stay through a travel agency as the last leg of our 13 day Tahiti trip spending 5 days/4nights at the Hotel Kia Ora in beautiful Rangiroa. It is a short ride from the airport in an air conditioned shuttle bus (though the bus seems suited for thiner bodies due to seat spacing), wonderful welcoming with multiple attendants each taking couples/families and getting everyone checked in very timely. We had booked a room on the beach but received an upgrade to a bungalow with private pool, it was fantastic!!! From the moment the security gate surrounding the bungalow was opened we felt relaxed, taking in the beautiful room and outdoor space. Fair amount of built ins for clothing, a few (6 I think maybe 8) hangers allowed for clothing to hang in the closet. A wonderfully large king sized bed looked out through a fully glassed front onto the patio, pool and lounge area. The shower stall was large enough for two people and was immediately adjacent to the toilet stall, in fact the wall between the two was removable or movable allowing water from showering to dampen the floor in toilet stall if not mindful ( though being in 84 degrees weather on vacation it really was no big deal). The deep tub was situated outside and due to its location just outside the indoor shower area and the height of the exterior walls you felt complete privacy (though our pool was having some issues with the pump not working so we had repair people in/ out without warning 🙄) I gave it a try anyway and it was quite nice. The outdoor pool was about 6' wide, 5' derp and overall about 20-22' long nice to get in/out of multiple times a day and also an outdoor shower to use before snd after getting in the pool. There were two nice cushioned lounge chairs outside along with a covered couch, sitting area with several chairs & table positioned under a gazebo with a fan - super great place to play cards, read a book, relax or drink. We spent a lot of time out here and in the pool. The resort has a pool located by the restaurant that looks out over the water, adjacent is the bar with seating over the water. We ate lunch here just about every day, the staff were delightful and friendly. The variety of fun drinks and gorgeous scenery made it one of the highlights of our trip. There is a library located in the main building where you check in as well as a pool table but that room was quite warm being closed in. Also with the books in the library its a take one/leave one or read and return just make sure you open the book before leaving to make sure its in a language you can read. (Dont go off the cover alone) Very nice small gift shop as well as a nice jewelry store, there is a woman from the village that sells handmade jewelry with pearls and beads who has a table for several hours a couple of days a week as well. Nice to buy something and support the small community in any way you can. It appears that tourism is the main economy boost in this area. The people are kind, but if you are Americans maybe take some time and try to learn some French if you don't already know some, and please don't expect to order some lattes and have them know what that is. ( we observed some other US woman gripe because they "got her coffee wrong"). We loved our stay here and only found a few negative things (1) they were fumigating for cockroaches (we believe) and got no warning when sitting outside other than to smell the horrible chemicals and have to bolt indoors and close the windows. (2) we had booked a couples massage for the last day of our stay, we show up at our prescribed time only to find out ours and others had been cancelled because they were still cleaning up after a fumigation at the bungalow - they had neglected to tell us and we had no way to fit in another one as we were leaving the next morning. (3) water was having an algae bloom and was not clear, with small 3-4' sharks swimming close to shore we chose not to swim in the lagoon Other than these things our stay was comfortable, relaxing and everything a vacation should be, hospitality was wonderful, they are kind people. Take them up on the Thursday drive to watch the dolphins (we saw dolphins jumping) it's beautiful regardless if you see the jumping dolphins or not)
