Great location and a beachfront that can't be beat. The snorkeling equipment and small catamaran for sailing are provided without additional charge. The local coral reef was interesting and sailing great fun. It was nice to have the lemurs readily observable in our "backyard" and the hotel guide was knowledgeable and accommodating. In fact the entire staff was super accommodating...

Beautiful beach and surroundings only accessable by 1 hour boat trip. Good if you actually want to do very little but laze and swim etc. chalets ar comfortable with good facilities. Lemurs are in the surrounding mango trees but make sure you have plenty of insect repellent. Staff all try their best and are very friendly but the food whilst...

Got married and chose Madagascar as our adventure/beach honeymoon destination. The pictures of Eden Lodge are genuine, and the place is very idyllic. There's no way to reach the place other than from water. Which is lovely, as there's no noise from cars/trucks or planes etc. But that also means you're kind of trapped on the beach with no way...

In spite of air Madagascar cancelling flights and our 3night stay was reduced to 1 we couldn't have had a better time- if you need to chill in the middle of nowhere and, halfway through lunch be invited to get on the hotel boat to chase whales and find them what more can you ask??!!!! The staff and facilities are absolutely...

We stayed here for 5 nights as part of our honeymoon. Approaching the hotel from the sea was an exciting experience and we were met by the staff with a beautiful cocktail. The accommodation was excellent and service brilliant. There were 3 choices for dinner and lunch each day with some excellent cocktails on offer. Plenty of activities to get...

We had a wonderful stay at the Eden Lodge where we found everything we were looking for during our 7-day stay: superb private beach, very comfortable and nicely decorated bungalows, excellent and fresh cooking, very nice people always eager to help and make our journey there unforgettable: fresh fish everyday, massages, cocktails, watching birds and lemurians..... we wish we were...

Eden Lodge is an excellent introduction to North-western Madagascar. It is about 40 minutes by boat from Nosy Be, but feels like another planet. Nosy Be is a rather busy place! There are only 8 lodges (or tented bungalows) at Eden Lodge and whereas we visited for a week in high season, we were one of only 2 couples at...

First off I think it is fair to state we were very lucky in having the Lodge to our selves for 90% of the trip making it a surreal private beach experience. I am sure the experience would be different with a full lodge. Not necessarily worse but different. The Lodge is accessible only by boat and adds to the...

This must be the most beautiful place in Madagascar. It is mentioned in the "Best Hotels of the World" guide. There are 8 tented bungalows on the beach with views of the ocean and own recliners and parasol and a massage couch at the back facing the gardens. Walks for lemur and wild life watching, village and school visits, and...

We stayed right next to the dining hall in a fantastic room! Wonderful ocean view! Have to say it's one of our favorite places we have ever stayed. Staff are very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the area. There are a couple species of lemurs living on the property who make daily appearances as they go about their routines. This...
