When your soul and body gets tired of the so-called "safaris" which burn fuel and also a hole in your pocket and leave your soul dissatisfied, when you start to feel that sitting in the comfort of a 4x4 jeep is not your definition of jungle tour, when you become restless for not being able to tread the forest, touch... What a place to get away from the hustle and bustle of modern life.Such tranquility in a wilderness full of wonderful birds and mammals.Staff were so friendly and helpful, especially Sumantha who we met many years ago.Fantastic to meet up again in his own lodge.Evenings were very special chatting around the open fire, with only candles to light the paths.Food was excellent.Lovely... I had the privilege of spending five days at Vanghat Lodge in early April of this year. Only a four-hour or so train ride from Delhi brought me to this incredible beautiful and peaceful place; a rushing river, wilderness at its best, and the stars at night.... I had forgotten how many there are. The bungalows were clean, comfortable, and... More

A fabulous break from the plains and pollution. You will love the surreal experience of taking time out from the fast paced and hectic life .... a true break so to say.... Its so important to reconnect yourself and connect your kids with nature....The closest that you will get to the WILD... A fresh water river, Birds, Pug marks, Porcupines,... More

What makes Vanghat stand out as a precious jewel in the crown of the Corbett Landscape is its complete jungle experience. Here you are not outside the forest but a minuscule part of nature's bigger picture. It is said that you cherish and respect things which you attain with hard work, similarly the mere concept of trekking to Vanghat make... More

Very rarely it happens when we set out with a holiday in mind and end up with an experience of a life time. Vanghat is probably the last of the dwelling and we did not notice any villages beyond. it is approached by a 2 km trek through a village and river crossing over a raft. Those looking for 5... More

One thing is sure anybody who visits this enchanting place visits once comes back again.I too, more than I can afford to from a hectic schedule at Delhi. I checked this with records and the staff and I was not wrong.Situated right on the banks of cool, inviting Ramganga river, this property has no parallel in the entire region.Right in the... More

If you want to wake up to chirping birds of trumpeting elephants this is the place to be. IN the summer you can also take a dip in the river and just laze around looking at the abundant birds that flock the campus.

This most isolated of lodge, situated in a valley, close to Ramganga River in Marchula, Uttarakhand, India has to be on must visit list of every wildlife and nature lover. I have visited three times and that speaks for itself of its pull. Reaching there itself is an experience. Peaceful and quiet, no TV, radio, newspaper, mobile phone, one is... More

We visited Vanghat on a whim...to get away from the city bustle and spend some quality family time together. Boy! did we get that and more! We returned refreshed, rejuvenated with a promise to ourselves to return soon. The 2 Km trek to the property through a local village ending with a raft ride across Ramganga is the perfect detox...
