After a couple of ok suggestions to eat out we tried this one randomly, turned out to be the best food we had on Koh Kood, the masaman (yellow) curry was incredible and the grilled shrimp were huge and fantastic as well. Go eat here!

I originally only planned on staying on Koh Kood for 3 nights. But after seeing how relaxed and chilled both the Island and the Guest house is, I am finding myself unable to leave. Every day after breakfast I am booking another night onto my stay. The staff are so friendly, the lack of a mutual language (I dont speak Thai, and Staff have little English) does not even effect your stay. They are warm and welcoming. There also a few guests who similarly to myself have found themselves unable to leave. They are also kind and welcoming. The food is great, with an amazing seafood bbq most nights, cheap beer and good atmosphere. Ive been staying in the dorm room, which has got very large single beds which is a nice change from the usual small beds you normally get in dorms, the beds are also super comfortable, twice i have slept straight through for 12 hours. The bathrooms are super clean. They are cleaned every morning. Each toilet cubicle and shower cubicle are cleaned for about 20 mins each and are spotless. The showers are cold- but not freezing, and its actually nice because you come back sweaty and hot from the beach and its a nice cool down. I have a driving license but have never drove a moped/scooter and this is not the island for your first go, I tried to rent one but they advised me not to and am i glad they did, its very hilly with some slopes almost vertical, the beaches on the south part of the island are all walkable, and if you want to go further north, the staff here are more than willing to give you a lift in the car or on the back of a bike. Considering almost every other type of accommodation on the island are extremely expensive. Eves Guesthouse is a little slice of heaven on a backpacker budget.

If you are bored of posh resorts and looking for a place to socialize with other travelers, Eve`s house is a place to go. Full of amazing, friendly backpackers with interesting stories from around the world. Apart from that, the place offers tasty food and good ambiance. Stuff is super friendly too.

Seemed to be the only hostel on the island. AC in the dorm. Will rent bikes @200 per day Really liked the room. Even though it was windowless it meant it was darker and nicer for sleeping in. I recommend eating a little further down the road as it's cheaper.

Stayed for 4 days in early May. Had the family room which was great as hard to find suitable space for our family of five together. Comfy beds, as most in Thailand are so hard it is like sleeping on the floor. Main lady running place called’Ratt’ nice but rest of staff standoff in nature and two drank alcoholic drinks all day from 8am! However the restaurant was one of worst in Thailand that we tried. Terrible pad Thai, and chicken wings only got 3 for 120-150 bhat compared to 6-8 at most places. Put us off eating there again, apart from last day we had breakfast. Equally disappointing and overpriced. Cocktails 180 bhat and 160 for similar drink at high end beach resorts near by. Chana beach 10 minutes walk and pretty nice. But Siam beach 20 min walk with several nicer resorts is worth walking to
