This hotel was probably the best in town at the height of the Communist Era, now it is a grubby and faded relic. It is in a noisy and dirty part of town- and the 'facilities' and 'restaurants' are under renovation. Avoid. Hardest beds ever experienced.

Stayed in the Linxia hotel for 1 night on a trip to Xiahe. The staff on reception are terrible and unfirendly by Chinese standards - they also speak zero english so it is a bit of a challenge. The rooms are average but clean. Bathrooms fine, we got hot water after we called the maid to come and adjust 'something' for us. Internet did not work despite the hotel offering it. The room smelt of smoke. The location of the hotel is on a main room and so pretty noisy, whichever side of the hotel you stay on. It is in quite a central location and you can easily get a taxi yourself by standing outside the hotel on the road and flagging one down. Do not expect reception to do this for you unless you want to be disappointed. Rooms are on avergae £25 per night, but if you check out late, they will keep all your deposit. We lost £20. Only stay in Linxia if you arrive late and cannot proceed with your journey, there is not much here. Stay elsewhere if possible. More
