We spent 3 nights at Woodbury Lodge in April. We chose this particular game park as it had been recommended by our trip organisers, Audley, it's proximity to Port Elizabeth, where we were flying home from, and the fact that the Eastern Cape is malaria free. Much to our delight, the whole reserve seemed to be completely free from flying...

Brilliant stay, highly recommend this lodge at Amakhala Game reserve. Service was good, food delicious and staff very friendly. The programme was exactly right, enough to see as well as relaxing time. The guides were fun, and definitely knew their stuff.

Spent 3 nights at Woodbury Lodge. Staff made us feel so at home and our safari guide was so so knowledgable. Apart from a few insects in our room, the room was very spacious with a great balcony looking out to the safari.

From the moment we were welcomed at the Woodbury Lodge to the moment we left we were made very welcome, the rooms we as expected, clean, well-appointed for my family of 5, and perfectly located with fantastic views over the reserve. The games drives where exciting and the staff knowledgeable. The food was lovely and they even accommodated my gluten...

We stayed three days and enjoyed it very much. Our room was spacious and very pleasantly laid out. Outside our room we had great sightings and sounds of birds which were new to us. We only occasionally heard monkeys at night. The staff were very welcoming, organised and helpful. The meals were top class.

We stayed 2 nights at Woodbury Lodge which incorporated 4 game drives. We had two drives with Kat who was absolutely excellent at locating the big five. The game reserve is huge with lots of different terrains and the game drivers certainly respect the animals. We had some close encounters with elephants, lions and rhinos which were amazing and enthralling....

This was our first 'safari' experience so we had no idea what to expect - but we did not expect it to be this good! We are a family of 3 with a teenage daughter and stayed 3 nights at Woodbury Lodge. Our lodge (Zebra) was a family lodge with a double bedroom and a twin room separated by a...

So this was our first experience of a safari, and I'm not sure we'd really thought about it too much, but we had a really breathtaking experience in an informal and relaxed setting. The lodges themselves are really nicely decorated, with thatched roofs, all have verandas and the both has a viewing window so you can bath whilst watching baboons!...
