We were very impressed with the hospitality we received during our 10 days in Living Theros. The rooms were disinfected and all devices in plastic bags which was reassuring during the Covid times. The rooms were very beautiful with views in breathtaking Kardiani bay and the hosts always available and accommodative. Would recommend Loving Theros!

Our stay at Living Theros was made perfect by the warm hospitality of the extremely helpful, friendly and discreet staff. The location of Living Theros is unique, situated in the picturesque village of Kardiani. The suite was very spacious, simply decorated, with breathtaking views of the Aegean sea, creating a wonderful and tranquil atmosphere. The breakfast was delicious, consisting of local products, and was delivered to our room every morning adding to the comfort of our experience. In the challenging times of COVID-19, the hotel had taken all the necessary precautions to make us feel safe. We would definitely recommend staying at Living Theros!! We can't wait to come back!

We stayed one week at Living Theros and as we hadn't booked anything in advance, we changed rooms three times, each time different and always perfect.
From the tiniest room, to the suite with jacuzzi, we loved the architecture that respects the old Tiniene house, the simple and refined decoration, the details thought with taste and practicality, the incredible comfort of the mattresses, the terraces overlooking an unbelievable sea view.

Our host Dyonisis is adorable, helpful, discreet, taking care of the comfort of his guests who become more than customers.
And even the breakfast he delivered every morning in large craft paper bags ended up pleasing us, even if the orange juice is not squeezed...
The location of the hotel in the charming village of Kardinia is also unique.
We highly recommend this address, which however everything pushes us to keep it secret.

Disappointing experience in a hotel complex that by no means can justify five stars. Some nice rooms and views but advertising photos are deceiving and definitely filtered...

A) I was bit by 3 ticks in my bed (I'm a surviver of a serious case of Lyme disease)! Management did not manage to move me somewhere else Although they said they'd clean/disinfect room. I insisted on changing all linen and the underneath bed protectors (ticks look much like bed bugs).

B) Manager is more interested in talking and arguing with guests who have legitimate complains than listening or finding appropriate solutions. He even said that

C) It turns out that he room descriptions are not accurate. The double room with a private terrace is a tiny cell; and to access the terrace, you have to get out of your main entrance, climb several dangerously steep and narrow steps. Forget it if you have musculoskeletal or balance issues or if you are not a tiny person.

D) Breakfast is very modest for this category of a hotel. Mainly continental but forget the bakery delicacies you have been treated with in Santorini or Kythera at similar or less expensive hotels. Juice is commercial boxed stuff, not freshly squeezeed oranges. The pretentiousness of Theros provides a small Nespresso machine but only one coffee capsule per person (forget it if the machine eats it up)! And, you have to get into your room (down and up those evil steps) to make your own lousy cup of coffee. It would have been ok if the place promoted Greek coffee as an honest alternative if they can't provide a basic coffee demand.

E) You only get one set of towels per person which won't be changed until you remember to flip a silly stone outside your room to request room make-up. That also means you won't get your trash out, or have fresh drinking water (only 2 bottles per room are free)
So, you have more to remember to do than you'd like on your vacation. Of course, management will exploit the concept of the pandemic here....

All the above with a price tag starting in over 200 euros per night!!! AND, they oblige you to prepay the entire amount before arrival. This is NOT a usual policy in Greece where most hotels require a down payment only to book the room. I guess Theros knows they are not worth this money since they cannot compete with similar category hotels in Greece and elsewhere.

The village of Kardiani is very pretty as is the entire island. But be prepared to struggle find a spot on the very narrow street outside the village and climb up and down stairs and very pretty paths hopefully without carrying bugs or other stuff. There is basically one good tavern and no stores in the village. If I had to go back I'd definitely stay somewhere else and only for a couple of days. Going to the beach in the summer involves getting to your car and drive to the nearest organized beach which is 10-15 min away but is not anything like the nicer beaches of the island. It also becomes very very crowded.

We loved staying here - the rooms are beautiful and the town is so peaceful up on the hill. There is parking at the top of the road (5mins walk), you probably need a hire car to really explore the island although taxis are easily available and very good too. Kardiani is about 20-25 mins from main Tinos town but we liked being more central to explore the rest of the island. The breakfast in the room every day was perfect and a lovely touch, nice to be able to order daily. The service was brilliant - very personable and friendly. They accommodated several changes to our booking due to Covid, and also helped arrange dinner bookings each night and a local vineyard wine tasting. We would absolutely recommend staying here.

The arrival is a little adventure, leaving the car in the village car park and walking through the white village streets - the views are rewarding. Dionysis was great, very welcoming and extremely helpful. The room was beautifully restored and our room had a private rooftop terrace to watch the sunset with a nice drink, overlooking the beaches and sea below. Highly recommend.

One tip, for the car park to the hotel: Take what you need, not everything you have. Our hand luggage suitcase was a good size and easy. Our 20kg suitcase was also fine, but I was quite hot when we got back to the car!

Combining comfort with simplicity, unique view with privacy and warm welcoming with tranquility. A perfectly experience, with the only negative point our short stay. We were pleasantly impressed by the smell and feeling of freshness in the room and bed & bath linen. Our special thanks to Panagiotis for the warm hospitality

We stayed in the Superior Room with Private Terrace and our entire experience and stay was simply amazing. The room was compact and having the private terrace was a wonderful added feature. We loved the location, walking through the breathtaking old town with it's beautiful simplicity and authenticity. Each morning we were delivered a different homemade breakfast and it was very tasty! The room was clean and the terrace views were stunning. Depending on your itinerary for your stay, we would recommend hiring a car so that you are not reliant on the local bus. We hired our car through Living Theros recommendation and were very happy with the service provided. Nothing was too much to ask and the service was always prompt and professional. We will always remember our stay in this beautiful part of Tinos.

We loved Living Theros and the beautiful village of Kardiani. The view from our large terrace balcony was breathtaking and our bedroom was beautiful, spotless and characterful. The breakfast, delivered to our room each morning was tasty but just lacked fruit juice and fresh fruit although the delicious Greek yoghurt always came with different preserved fruits. We loved Dimitra , a simple authentic taverna in the heart of the village and had two wonderful evenings there surrounded by friendly locals. All in all a stay at Living Theros shouldn’t be missed.

The island is so incredibly quiet and peaceful and the location of this hotel is absolutely breathtaking. By far my favorite place of our entire trip (and that includes Mykonos and Athens)!

The rooms were clean and tidy throughout the entire stay. Breakfast was brought directly to us in the mornings in the cutest boxes with so much care & intention put into them each day. I absolutely LOVED my room with the outdoor terrace and jacuzzi and could not get enough of it. What's even better is the AC inside the room kept things cold enough for me to sleep and was a nice way to split the temperatures. The bathroom was so large as well and loved the marble floors & walls!

The location was in a cute village with a restaurant within walking distance. Anything else requires cars to reach (unless you want to traverse a 200-450 foot incline), so fair warning there. The staff was SO helpful in taking some of our bags upon arrival and departure which made it much easier to navigate the hills.

The staff is by far the most friendly & warm-hearted people I have ever met. Not only were they welcoming, but also the owner gave me his direct phone number and asked that I call if we needed anything at all, and he picked up every time we needed something. Even upon leaving, he provided a small gift and many words of kindness, making this an experience I will never forget.

If you are looking for a dreamy getaway while supporting great people, this is the spot for you!!
