Traditional Cycladic architecture yet modern and fresh . Excellent location w great view of the Aegean . Quite place located in a traditional small village of Kardiani. The breakfast was very nice. The staff were genuine and polite.
The setting is stunning and atmospheric in a formerly inhabited village up above the sea, with a view across to Syros. The apartments have been sympathetically modernised and are characterful and comfortable with efficient services. We were well looked after and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Theros is an amazing hotel in what I believe is Tinos’ most beautiful village, Kardiani. Everything about our stay was perfect, the villa, the amenities, the attention to detail, the cleanliness, THE VIEW! Panagiotis was an amazing host and took care of every request and need and was always there to help. I couldn’t recommend this place more, can’t wait to go back
Tinos has had difficulty in attracting tourists out of the mass religious pilgrimage s that it attracts from the rest of Greece. So it is a virgin island for the select tourism who wants beauty, history, genuinity, gorgeous beaches, tranquility and no crowds . But this discerning tourist needs a world class boutique hotel. living Theros US just the place . A superb service, jaw dropping design and location and a view to die for. And the Team - they are so kind and helpful we become friends with Christos and Panos . This is THE place to stay at Tinos and Tinos is unmissable.
Disappointing experience in a hotel complex that by no means can justify five stars. Some nice rooms and views but advertising photos are deceiving and definitely filtered... A) I was bit by 3 ticks in my bed (I'm a surviver of a serious case of Lyme disease)! Management did not manage to move me somewhere else Although they said they'd clean/disinfect room. I insisted on changing all linen and the underneath bed protectors (ticks look much like bed bugs). B) Manager is more interested in talking and arguing with guests who have legitimate complains than listening or finding appropriate solutions. He even said that C) It turns out that he room descriptions are not accurate. The double room with a private terrace is a tiny cell; and to access the terrace, you have to get out of your main entrance, climb several dangerously steep and narrow steps. Forget it if you have musculoskeletal or balance issues or if you are not a tiny person. D) Breakfast is very modest for this category of a hotel. Mainly continental but forget the bakery delicacies you have been treated with in Santorini or Kythera at similar or less expensive hotels. Juice is commercial boxed stuff, not freshly squeezeed oranges. The pretentiousness of Theros provides a small Nespresso machine but only one coffee capsule per person (forget it if the machine eats it up)! And, you have to get into your room (down and up those evil steps) to make your own lousy cup of coffee. It would have been ok if the place promoted Greek coffee as an honest alternative if they can't provide a basic coffee demand. E) You only get one set of towels per person which won't be changed until you remember to flip a silly stone outside your room to request room make-up. That also means you won't get your trash out, or have fresh drinking water (only 2 bottles per room are free) So, you have more to remember to do than you'd like on your vacation. Of course, management will exploit the concept of the pandemic here.... All the above with a price tag starting in over 200 euros per night!!! AND, they oblige you to prepay the entire amount before arrival. This is NOT a usual policy in Greece where most hotels require a down payment only to book the room. I guess Theros knows they are not worth this money since they cannot compete with similar category hotels in Greece and elsewhere. The village of Kardiani is very pretty as is the entire island. But be prepared to struggle find a spot on the very narrow street outside the village and climb up and down stairs and very pretty paths hopefully without carrying bugs or other stuff. There is basically one good tavern and no stores in the village. If I had to go back I'd definitely stay somewhere else and only for a couple of days. Going to the beach in the summer involves getting to your car and drive to the nearest organized beach which is 10-15 min away but is not anything like the nicer beaches of the island. It also becomes very very crowded.…
We loved Living Theros! And we loved Tinos (definitely one of our favourite islands and we have visited at least 15 of them!). The village is beautiful, the view is stunning, our room (the Junior suite) was lovely and the staff is really nice. The tips shared on the island were great.
A small wonderful boutique hotel nested in Beautiful Kardiani, village in Tinos. Clean, comfortable, magnificent view on the island and Aegean sea. The hotel is relaxing, quiet and puts you in holidays/laid-back vibe immediately. The staff is welcoming, available, nice, friendly and always ready to recommend great places for dinner, beach, sightseeing. A very special place. During our next trip in Tinos, we will stay at Living Theros Luxury Suites.
A fairy tale village turned into a wonderful stay with all of the creature comforts of daily life. Breakfast is an experience from order to enjoy. The views are breathtaking and here we are not GUESTS, but Christos treats us like returning family each time!
Nice little boutique hotel in a beautiful remote and quiet village. Pluses: nice location, absolute quiet, breathtaking views over the Aegean Sea, great service, excellent breakfast, excellent mattresses, nice bathroom with Apivita products, the caring of all staff and particularly the manager Mr Panagiotis who’s always there and ready to help with his always great tips and excellent manners. Minuses: rather small rooms (we had the mini suite, which was rather on the small side) and the built-in bed with no direct access to a window or balcony hence not much breeze.
Combining comfort with simplicity, unique view with privacy and warm welcoming with tranquility. A perfectly experience, with the only negative point our short stay. We were pleasantly impressed by the smell and feeling of freshness in the room and bed & bath linen. Our special thanks to Panagiotis for the warm hospitality
