We had an amazing experience, walking distance to the local restaurants and main streets, also to the trail to the next beach, Giuliano the owner of the hostel was super helpful, arranged all the transportation, tours, prices, security. The place has hammocks, pool and the service was incredible! We really appreciated it.
We booked for three nights originally but ended up staying five as it was such a fantastic hostel. The spaces were clean and well designed - we loved hanging out by the pool on the hammocks. It was also the perfect location for day trips to Minca and the national park, all made easier by Juliano’s extensive knowledge of the area. All the staff were super friendly and made us feel like we were home away from home. Can not recommend highly enough.
I decided to stay in Taganga instead of Santa Marta to visit Minca and do some scuba diving. This hostel was brilliant. Clean, great location, nice pool and very secure. The owner was incredibly helpful with organizing tours and scuba diving from the hostel, and super knowledgeable about the region when it can to giving advice. I highly recommend staying here if you are coming to Taganga!
Probably the most beautiful hostel I ever stayed in, great (actually clean!) kitchen and communal area where you can hang out and meet people. Julian in the reception is the best, helped with booking dives, ordering food to the hostel and just generally giving tips! Emil the night guard is so nice and would walk you places at night if you were alone. Best hostel of my 5 months of traveling, stay here!
I came to Taganga to do my open water diving license and stayed for three nights in Hostal Palohe. It's hard to find anything what could be improved. The hostel is the cleanest hostel I've been to in Colombia, even the beds in the dorms are made every day. There is an outside kitchen which is even better equipped than my own in kitchen back home and very clean as well. Furthermore, the whole common are around the kitchen and the pool is really nice as well and made with love. Decoration is so pretty! It's visible that the owner was thinking about what his guests would appreciate and that he as well as his staff love their work. Everybody is so nice and helpful (Giuliano gave me really helpful tipps while choosing my diving school) and the owner even took me in his car back to my hostel in Santa Marta. Haven't tried the breakfast but looked good to and there is free coffee the whole day. As the hostel isn't to big it's easy to socialize as well, perfect for solo travelers! Many thanks to the whole team! …
