This B&B, I would call it Boutique Hotel, is one of the best and most special places I have ever been. It’s an old wonderful building, big and bright rooms with fitting interior. The garden is very relaxing and because there are only four rooms and an apartment, it’s never crowded. Madame Paumel is also just the perfect host, very helpful and generous. The breakfast is perfect as well. We will definitely visit this place again.

Our group of six thoroughly enjoyed our cooking class with Pierre and his wife Annie. We did the prep work for our lunch of fresh vegetable soup, eggplant stuffed with chicken and pork, stuffed tomatoes and an apricot upside down dessert. Pierre did the seasoning and cooking and Annie did the translations. The apricots were picked from the tree on their property 15 minutes before we prepared them. The herbs came from their gardens. After the class we all sat down and enjoyed our lunch together with water wine coffee and homemade limoncellos. Annie speaks fluent English.

I can absolutely recommend this B&B! The rooms are lovely with beautiful old furniture. The breakfast is yummie and served with lots of local products. I really liked the location of the B&B as it was very quite and the next city is just a 5 minute drive away. However, renting a car is a must! Although I liked everything about our stay Annie was the cherry in top! She' s a lovely host and did everything to make our holidays memorable. She really knows the area and it's absolutely worth to follow her recommendations. We will for sure come back!

My wife and I had the privilege of staying at this wonderful establishment for a week in June 2017. We visit France annually and always try to find authenticity wherever we are. If you want to visit Provence and experience it with a genuineness not found in hotels, please stay here. Both Annie and Chef Pierre and wonderful hosts. The rooms are large, spotlessly clean, and air conditioned for the hot months during the summer. The breakfast outside on the patio is not to be missed. If you stay here and have the opportunity to dine with one of Chef Pierre's meals, do not miss it. It is an extraordinary experience not to be forgotten. The Bastide is perfectly situated to visit Orange, the Post du Gard and all of the surrounding hill towns in Provence. If it is authenticity you seek, please stay here and enjoy Provence not often found. We are already looking forward to our next visit next year!

We're a group of 5 adults and 2 children and had a brief stay at La Bastide des Princes 14Sep with gourmet dinner and a cooking class. Booking was smooth and responsive, best among our whole trip in Provence. Location is clear with good instructions and GPS coordinates which is easy to find by our rental car. Rooms are cosy and comfortable with free wifi. Attached restaurant provides excellent food and was a good place for gourmet dinner so that we did not need to drive at night after enjoying plenty of wine. Highlight was the cooking class by master chef Pierre. The three course lunch was well designed to suit everyone yet sophisticated enough with very good presentation and quality. We all enjoyed it very much and feel like real French cook. The price was very reasonable and free for children. The experience was very different from a cooking class we had before in Alba, which is much simpler and home style. Chef Pierre had a good chat with us and showed us his private cellar and wine collections. He also shared his private stock of fragrant muscat juice! The only regret was that we couldn't stay longer. We would definitely recommend others to stay, eat and take the cooking class.
