We really enjoyed the homemade pie with mash. One of best pies we have eaten- great value in terms of portions. Good atmosphere and service. Recommend booking a table. Large selection of traditional ales, cider and fruit wines. Good sized garden.

This amazing pub is nestled in a beautiful, quiet village full of quaint idyllic buildings. The pub is ancient and dates to around the 1400's and looks stunning from the outside, but inside even better and beyond expectations. Stone floors, wonderful timber work and exquisite fire places in the three rooms leading off a small well stocked bar. The Fleece... More

I visited the village on a tour of the Cotswolds to take a photo of the pub as it has been recreated as model by Lilliput Lane (I know -- it's a strange hobby!). I already thought it would be good time for lunch and then saw the sign saying it had been chosen as the "Best Country Pub" for... More

We booked in advance for dinner in view of reports this was wise. After ordering our drinks at the bar (excellent choice of real ales) we were shown to a table in one of the small dining rooms which was really charming and set the atmosphere for our meal. There was a good choice on the menu and everything was... More

Went with friends place was heaving always a good sign. Food was pleasant. Friends whitebait was huge in comparison to the goats cheese and pate. Chutney served with pate was unpleasant and bread needed to be toasted or thicker sliced. Mains were great three beef and ale pies and fish and chips . For dessert a scoop of ginger ice... More

We were looking for somewhere for dinner on a Sunday evening when we were visiting the area and were getting rather anxious as so many places we looked at on Trip Advisor were closed. We had stopped in a small village to look at a nice looking pub, with a good review, and an elderly local man recommended the Fleece... More

Came to this highly recommended pub for a pint or two. The choices of ales and ciders was outstanding. The surroundings are incredible. This pub has been serving for 600 years and the building inside and out is a piece of living history.
