Service --- A+++ - Benjamin made our father/son trip truly special. He took great care to ensure we were well fed and knowledgable about the Davos Kloster area and provided a very welcoming environment. I felt like family in the first 15 minutes upon a late arrival - he even ensured after the kitchen was closed to get us a...

This is a gem amongst traditional alpine lodges in the area, and a world away from the chaos of Davos centre. Traditional wood features throughout, lovely big and warm rooms, with a friendly atmosphere backed by historical photos showing the history of the property and area. There is a free sauna and relaxation area too out the back, which is...

This is such a lovely place to stay. Ee aim to go back as soon as we can. We've been visiting the area for ten years, always at end June, early July, to prep for the Swiss Alpine marathon. This year we decided to try the Ducan which we'd passed many times before. We had an idea it might be...

We had a great weekend stay in Hotel Ducan. The hotel is probably a 10 min drive from Davos, the closest Ski resort is 5 min away. Ski touring or hiking is right at the doorstep of the hotel. Staff is very friendly and service is great. The hotel is newly refurbished, new bathroom, good beds. Very cozy, warm and...

My wife and I were looking for something different than just a 5 star hotel in Davos. So we've found this lovely place a bit outside of Davos where things are more calm and cosy. If you don't expect high end facilities but a hotel where you feel how much is taken care of details and where you feel charmed...

Lovely looking, traditional hotel in tiny village near Davos. The superior rooms were nice, lots of new looking, traditional wood and a modern shower room. Note, the small TV was in the second room with the sofa bed, also we found the bed to be exceptionally hard (and I love camping). Dinner in the restaurant was excellent, local produce, excellently...

I was delighted that fate sent me to Monstein as it is a spectacularly special place. The hotel itself is really gorgeous (in a Swiss chalet type way) and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The food was fantastic incl. one of the best 'local artisan' plates of meats and cheeses that I have ever had. To top it...

We took the train into Davos and switched to a couple busses to get here. Make no mistake - Monstein is a village. It's bigger brother Davos is a cool 8km away. You are in the 'pampas' as the locals say here. The Swiss are mostly what you will find here. Which I consider a good thing. Monstein is an...
