Bromo Terrace Hotel & Resto is a hotel with fabulous design, with impresive services. Our hotel well located 9 km from Bromo sea sand, surrounded by hills and refreshing plantations.
Beautiful structure on the slopes of Mount Bromo with spectacular views. The rooms are divided into really nice cottages, with a small terrace, all topped off with a very well-kept garden. Very courteous and kind staff. The restaurant is very good, with a panoramic terrace. The only area for improvement is the bathrooms of the rooms, which need to be completely modernized. The staff is really kind. Everyone always smiling

Nice hotel in the highlands of Mt Bromo. Not quite the closest to the Mt Bromo summit as some other hotel options, which meant there is a slightly longer Jeep ascend in the morning if you are visiting King Kong Hill to see the Mt Bromo sunrise and then Mt Bromo after that. This is not a problem as long as you start earlier then everyone else and don't get in the Jeep Jam / Traffic on the single lane traffic going up. The hotel itself had nice views, but limited dining options within the hotel and surrounds. The included breakfast is not a buffet, you get to choose from a range of options, which are substantial from a size perspective.

We had a decent stay at this hotel. First impressions, this place is an old cottage style of hotel. Typical a modernized and simple Javanese architect. The view was great especially from the second floor dining area. The parking lot was small; only fit for around 7 small or medium SUVs. The room was kind of small, but has a spacious bathroom and has a small terrace at the back with two seats. Bathroom amenities was okay. The wifi was decent. Please note that there was no real wardrobe nor safety box inside the room. Since the hotel is cottage style, this hotel is not recommended for any guests using wheelchair. Also, please ask for umbrella at front desk, especially during rainy season if you don't want to get wet hanging around from room to room or to lobby. The food in here was just decent in term of taste, but the price was ridiculously expensive. The location of the hotel is somewhat far from any convenient stores. So, judging from the location, facilites, and price for this hotel, it was definitely just decent.

The outside looks nice but the inside was not. The bathroom was not nice, it felt like a jail cell and the water was barely lukewarm. There was not AC or heater in the room which is ridiculous because it's pretty cold at night and hot during the day. We're basically shivering through the night. The door of the room was not sealed, it let in air, bugs, and noise. The restaurant was terrible. It took them an hour to prepare a simple meal and the food was terribly bad with super small portion. The breakfast was also not very nice either.

Think about it first if you want to stay at this hotel. Especially if you order via the marketplace. We ordered via Traveloka, 2 adults with 3 children under 11 years.
When checking in the receptionist named Bagas pointed to my child. The father has 3 children? You have to add a room. You know? Yes, all the rules are on Traveloka. Don't you read? You have to add 1 room, the price is 1.4 million. You know? Just an extra bed, we are used to adding extra beds and breakfast at other hotels. It's a standard rule like that. He said this hotel is different. Anyway, you have to add 1.4 million. The way of communication is very impolite and rude. Even though I paid a lot.
I said I didn't want to and I left to look for another hotel while trying to contact Traveloka. When we wanted to leave he offered an extra bed for 1 person for 300 thousand. But we don't want to because the treatment is very unpleasant.
Finally we left and tried to look for another hotel and were grateful to find a hotel with very good reception, friendly and at a price much lower than this hotel but with much more facilities.
I complained to Traveloka to be facilitated with a refund with a penalty so that it would be a middle way. Traveloka has no solution at all. He said Traveloka has no authority. We were very disadvantaged as we were trapped on the spot and had to add a room for 1.4 million. This is not only a budget problem but also a problem with hotel procedures which are very non-standard.
This is a very bad experience that we have only had once. Please, if you want to book this hotel, read the reviews more carefully. There are lots of hotels in Bromo, not just Bromo Terrace.

We stopped there for just a night before climbing up to sunrise trekking to mount Bromo. Since we arrived later in the night, we asked for room service and we got spring rolls, Tempe and fried bananas. The tastes were not that good, but we were hungry. In a nutshell: I spent the whole night vomiting and by boyfriend has experienced annoying stomach issues (not funny to explain, if you know what I mean), and we lost the opportunity of the morning trekking cause our health status would have not allowed us to do so. Later in the morning, we let the staff know about the issues occurred, but they still made us pay for the so-called dinner. Furthermore, nobody in the staff properly speaks English, and it makes communications much more difficult. Take away: if you want to actually go to mount Bromo, avoid this place.

A perfect hotel to visit Bromo, to stay 1 night or 2... Moreover, the vast majority of customers are there for the night, to leave early the next morning (during the night)... The bungalows are clean, rather modern. The wifi works well. The whole complex is very clean.. Small negative point about the restaurant, with not a huge choice and not incredible quality either. The staff were charming, as is often the case in this country.

The accommodations were cozy, comfortable and reasonably well maintained. The surroundings were immaculate. The coffee house was a gem and the set breakfast served was generous and mostly tasty. The hotel staff were excellent. They were motivated and well trained. Most of them spoke good English. There is not much in the area of entertainment at the resort. It's more for those who seek a quiet and peaceful place to spend the night. The traffic noise is definitely a problem at certain times but this is the same for most of the hotels and resorts in this area. For us city dwellers, do take note that there can be a lot of bugs when it rains but this is expected given the natural surroundings. There are a couple of cafes and a provision shop nearby but that's about it. Overall, it was a pleasant experience for us.

We stayed at this property during a short organized tour that took us from Bali to Bandung. The hotel is simple but clean and comfortable. There is also a small restaurant where you can have your meals since there isn't much else in the surrounding area.

This was a fourth visit..Been here with friends and family. A simple, nice, and homey hotel with less than 20 rooms. The food are simple, everyday food but cook with high standard and tasty. They served ala carte breakfast personalized to your liking. No wonder everything here feels right. The owner always here to personally take care of the guest. The staff are very helpfull and friendly. A five stars nest.

There is no kitchenette. You can get hot water from reception and there is also a small area where you can buy snacks/drinks and other things. As others have said the restaurarnt on site is fine. Unless you have a car there is very little close by within walking distance. Its a pleasant little hotel to spend a night or two.
