5 of us visit hotel in last week of march. It was nice. Price is good from 700 to 1100 SC per night .... and breakfasts are excelent also. Little shame that almost every morning same. It would be nice if its change day by day. Like scrumbled eggs, pancakes or soups. But on the other hand, personal is such a nice to us. Also equipment is on good level and there is also snack corner in first floor. Very nice. There is sauna too. Nice one. In total i and other colegues can recommend it with calm heart. Thank you Alsens crew
Good staff, clean and comfortable rooms. Good breakfast, free tea, coffee and cookies 24 hours! Free and good speed of wi-fi. Located near a center of Sandviken and Goransson Arena. Big and free parking.
My mom, husband and myself stayed for one night in this charming hotel on our way to Gavle. I had booked via email prior to our arrival, not realising that it was closed after 3pm due to a public holiday. We had no problem letting ourselves in, thanks to a pre-arranged code at the door. My husband and I got a room on the ground floor, which unfortunately smelt "shut-in" - the musky odour of the previous guest. However opening the window and airing the room solved the problem. My mom had a double room on the second floor. A charming room with a maritime theme. The hotel was almost deserted, with just a sprinkle of guests who came and went. A microwave, kettle, fridge and free flow of biscuits and beverages is put in the corridor between the reception and our room. So it was easy for us to take a cuppa. Breakfast was simple but adequate, though eggs were limited (I had 2 but there weren't enough for my husband, though we were the only ones in the room!). The cheese bread was yummy, maybe homebaked. Overall I would stay here again instead of those big hotels in big cities. The receptionist was cheerful and charged us the rates as agreed in our correspondence (I have the Hotel Express card - though I had forgotten to bring it with me) without so much as asking for proof. This family-run hotel is value-for-money and I will definitely stay there again enroute to Gavle. P.S: There's free parking on the hotel's premises too.…
