We stayed in this resort for one week in July 2021. Upon our arrival, all was well organized by the management, we got our rooms in few moments. The resort compiles from three separate hotels which were put together to create a nice resort. The room was fine, daily cleaned with a bit of outdated furniture, but this is common for the Greek islands for this star accommodation. Food was great, every day quite few options to choose from. Pool was large and clean with plenty of sunbeds. Beach was fine with sunbeds to pay for. The sea was cold but very clean. We hired a car in the village and did three separate trips daily. To sum up, great hotel, great island, great hospitality :-)

I would like to definitely recommend this hotel. I came for a week with my husband and 3-year-old daughter. The hotel has a playground and paddling pools. Nice rooms with balcony cleaned daily. The food was delicious. They have labeled which dishes are gluten free. We have a gluten free diet with our daughter. I am impressed that we could eat so many tasty gluten free dishes.

As long time greece travellers... this Hotel has the lowest quality breakfast we ever experienced. Same for the drinks at the pool bar.
You are forced the wear a plastic wristband (to distinguish breakfast only, half board, full board). These bands are very annoying. They also have sharp edges and my son hurt himself with it when he scratched his face while sleeping.
Rooms are out of fashion but okay. Beds are not very comfortable. Bathroom very small.
Towels and sheets are changed twice a week. On sunday no room service, only the rubbish bin gets emptied.

Surrounded by olive trees Cambos Village is located by the feet of the mountains and only a few minutes walk from the rocky - however beautiful – beach with crystal clear water.
Apart from a few unessential shops alongside the narrow (and only) road leading through the area there’s a handful of simple beach restaurants sharing a magnificent view serving pretty decent meals (both fresh seafood and meat). My first advice is: If you for some reason insist on staying at Cambos Village don’t dine there – go to the beach restaurants.
Cambos Village is a large resort with three pools, a restaurant, a bar, a lousy “playground“ and a quite good “Mini club” where kids can paint, read books, play games etc. Some of the rooms have great terraces with beautiful views against the sea yet the interior is very tacky. Both the rooms and the place in general seem pretty rundown. And one very important thing – if you are travelling with small children make sure you bring your own travel-baby bed. The bed you get from the hotel comes without madras – seriously!
The “all inclusive” doesn’t make any sense. Nothing is included – no air-condition, no beach towels, no beach chair on the beach, no games (table football etc.), no shampoo, not even a bottle of water (if you ask for it you get a glass of tab water which travel agencies advice you not to drink) – you are basically charged for everything. So all you really get for the “all inclusive” are three hardly eatable meals a day, some microwave pizza slices going under the name “snack” and cheap wine and beer.
It seems very clear that the restaurants main mission is to keep the expenses as low as imaginably possible. Every ingredient in their hideously boot camp-like decorated buffet comes from caned conserved products you thought were removed from the supermarket shelves in the early 1980’s along with lunch leftovers from the day before – no kidding. On top of that, they don’t make enough food so if you come to dinner half hour after the buffet has opened only sorry leftovers of what was pretty disgusting in the first place is left. So although we paid for “All inclusive” we were forced to go out and buy our meals at different restaurants instead.

This is a resort for families with children.
Room in which we were is nice, spacious with a large terrace and sea view.
We had full board, meals were were ok, classically lots of vegetables and cheeses. The hotel is clean, so is the pool area and the staff very helpful.
Just a walk over the road there is a long stretch of beaches, we really enjoyed Marathokampos and Samos. The island is very green, with lots of vegetation and not so crowded with tourists.

We had a beautiful week at the Kampos Village Resort. The hotel and grounds were clean and beautiful, the scenery exquisite! And the service made us feel very welcome. Anything I had on my mind was tended to by the staff.

The food was very tasty, always something new at the buffet. Fresh made pancakes and omelets in the morning. And I have to comment on the coffee, it was very good. Usually in an all-inclusive hotel you get your coffee from some sort of vending machine, but not here, it was filter coffee, very nice and strong!

The rooms were kept clean, our room was cleaned every day. The towels were changed 3 times, that's plenty. We got our beach/pool towels from reception for the price of 1 euro per day per towel, very nice to get a clean towel every day. Also the ac was an extra cost, but not much. And I do understand the enviromental value of that. The hotel seemed to have very nicely taken to account what they can do to save the enviroment. E.g the ac was only turned on if you were in the room and had all your doors and windows closed. At first there was something wrong with ours, but it was taken care of immediately as I mentioned it at the reception. There's been some mentions on the beds, the mattress was pretty hard, but we were fine with it, not too hard.. The wifi was at no cost, and around the reception and the restaurant. We could also use it from the balcony.

The scenery was really beautiful, you had the mountains in the back and the sea on the front. I fell in love with the beach, I was suprised that it was very comfortable though it was made of pebbles. And of course the water was so clear because of this.

There was a market just down the path to the main road (1min walk). You can get any essential items from there. And many small shops and restaurants down the road. The shops had very nice hand made crafts etc.

The hotel would be a 4 star if the rooms were updated. And I heard from guestrelations that they are updating the hotel a bit by bit..

All in all I loved Samos and Votsalakia was a very nice little town to have a vacation. And the Kampos Village Resort earned our thanks!

Nice and clean hotel, with serveral pools. Perfect for all ages. Friendly staff and good food. Different buffet every day if you choose all inclusive. Close to the beach and the village with the mighty Mount Kerkis behind the hotel. The wifi is rather poor at the hotel, better at some of the local tavernas or beachbars. Don't pay to use sunbeds at the hotel-beach. Go 150 meters to the right to the After That bar. They have beds and umbrellas for free, and ads in a bucket of ice and waterbottles for free as well. And the wifi is ok as well.
What to do? Kampos is not the place if you want to party 24/7, but perfect if you'd like to relax, go for a swim, get a tan and enjoy life. Rent a car and drive around the island one day (ca 45€), visit the waterfall in Potami, eat lunch in the nice village Kokkari. Take a Lazy Day Cruise to Samiopuola to watch dolphins, and go snorkeling in crystalclear water.
Life is good in Kampos! 😊☀️👍🏻

The Kampos Village Resort is located in the village of Kampos Marathokampos at the foot of the high mountain Kerkis with magnificent views.

The hotel itself is a quiet romantic resort with three pools, a restaurant, a bar and small playground. Interior of the rooms is simple, I would say - Greek standard :) The complex is surrounded by pretty olive gardens, only a few minutes walk from from a pebble beach with crystal clear water. Downside of this pretty beach was a very cold water (mid July), so kids preferred to swim in one of the three pools and we took a lot of trips around the island. To our surprise there was much more warm water in Kokkari and surrounding beaches on the north of the Samos.

The village of Votsalakia - Marathokampos is not much more than a a few shops and handful of good beach restaurants alongside the one (only) road leading through the area, but it is a great place for realaxing holidays and good starting point to make trips by car.

(Even before we were evacuated way too late with wild fired only hundred yards away, ) we found ourselves in an old, badly maintained hotel.
The arrival service (handing out all-inclusive bracelets) was very very slow and old-fashioned. We had to leave our passports which ended up in us not having any during the evacuation. You have to pay extra (4EUR) for air conditioning and towels. The buffet was yesterdays left-overs warmed up. The rooms were noisy, and you were only allowed to turn the A/C when you were in the room. So every time you'd get in the room it'd be hot and clammy. Their reason was that it would be dangerous to turn it on when no one was in the room... made me feel really comfortable about having it on while we slept... NOT
The last day the pool lamp in the kiddie pool was hanging our by it's wires (!!)

I only really can appreciate the bar and restaurant staff that was attentive and friendly. I hope that this enormous wild fire will make them renovate the whole place. Cause location wise it's really not that bad!

Odgovoricu vam na nasem jeziku. Hotel je uzasan. Bio sam tamo u junu. Najbliza bolnica je 50-60 kilometara. Prljavo posudje, case i solje. Pozdrav
