We stayed in the Kiwi Cottage, which on their website is advertised as cute and retro, so I expected that. An old Formica table was the only retro thing we found. The cabin was adequate, the bed comfy but horrid peeling paint on the ceiling and a bare lightbulb in the bedroom aren't good enough for the price charged. You... More

This holiday park is set in a beautiful setting beside the Whanganui River. The proprietors were great with handy recommendations and even made sure I would be picked up while away for the day. Needed to replenish my campervan and needed the laundry etc. A restful experience. Good facilities.

I spent 2 nights here in a cabin. Cabin was small but clean and tidy with a new slat bed and was very comfortable and cheap. Was given extra blankets when I checked in as they thought it might be a chilly night. I last stayed here about 14 years ago and booked it without realising I had been here... More

We had to make last minute changes to our booking and they were really flexible about it. In a great spot on the river, very clean and tidy. Really friendly and helpful hosts who gave us some good tips on places to visit nearby.

Phil and Helene are fantastic hosts. More than willing to go out of their way to make you stay pleasant and enjoyable. We stayed 4 nights as a non-powered camping unit. We were having battery issues with the campervan and Phil was kind enough to offer a battery charger, extension cord and plug in adapter for our use. MUCH appreciated.... More

What a lovely spot on the river. An older but Very tidy camp with spacious sites and facilities that were clean and tidy. The added bonus is the garden where campers can help them selves to veges and herbs which is sited near the very clean kitchen. Great playground if you have children.

Lovely situation for a tent. River close by with a lovely swimming hole. Great communal facilities with a herb and vegetable garden people are invited to use. Nice bbq and kitchen with plenty of utensils, cleaning materials.

Adjacent to main road and railway line which can be noisy. On riverside with walks. Only 2 showers for each sex to serve the whole site, but with new bbq area and adequate kitchen. Friendly hosts. Sufficient for overnight stay.

We stayed here for just one night. The campground is a bit far out from the city and you can hear the train all the time. You get used to though. The crickets where really loud the whole night, but nothing which disturbs you from sleeping too much. The facilities are good and it has a bbq as well. Nothing amazing... More

This park is a little secret! Lovely setting by the river under established trees. Fresh herbs were a welcome addition to our dinner. We stayed at the Kiwi Cabin, which is best described as retro. Lots of space, with beds for seven, this cabin is very comfortable. The beds are just right with good pillows to enjoy a good nights... More
