Very well run outfit. Staff were friendly and helpful, I needed a 50 to 30 amp adapter and female-female coax adapter which they provided with a refundable deposit. Everything worked. Lots to do! The highlight was definately swimming and playing in the Oyster River, which is right next to the campgrounds. Highly recommended for families, and dog friendly. (they even... More

We reserved for two weeks way back in Feb, 2016 and selected the "V" lots for the view as well as adults only. When we arrived we were shocked to find two families with small children camped in the spot right next door. We asked at the office and were told that the entire park is family oriented and the... We absolutely love Pacific Playgrounds, we've been calling it home for our summer holidays for the past 5 years. Already been twice this summer and visiting again for 4 nites in September. Our grandkids love it there, it's their campground of choice. No reason to ever be bored here. Beach walks, beautiful well maintained pool, kIds fishing dock ( a... More

There are good points about Pacific Playground...location, marina, large play area, river...but the sites are too small for many RVs in current use, and they are far too close together. The campground does not seem to discourage people from having more than 1 extra vehicle per site, so cars/trucks etc are parked all over the narrow roads, and make it... More

In other words if you or any member of your family dislike dogs or are allergic to dogs this is not the place for you to come. At one point I was sure the dogs outnumbered the campers. Dogs to the right, dogs to the left, dogs everywhere. The majority of the time they are on a leash but that... More

thank you for your comments Kidsrn72, We certainly appreciate you letting us know of your recent experience with us. The pros and cons are all helpful. The park has grown greatly over its 40 year history and has become a great family destination , for summer vacations in the peak season. You were right that historically, it has been about... More

I absolutely love Pacific Playgrounds. We stayed in the cabins for years but they have continually raised the prices out of our affordable reach. Last year we stayed in the family trailer that they rent out and that was a lot of fun, but the RV part has absolutely no privacy and you must want to be close to your... More

Glamping = Glamour Camping Stayed for a week, booked 6 sites together. Prices are very fair considering all the amenities; power, sewer, water, WiFi, laundry, showers, store, marina. Access to the oyster river and the beach. Would love to stay again.

Very nice people, there are days where the office staff has trouble smiling but in general, they are very accommodating and friendly a humanly possible. I have brought my family here for 5 years now with a slip in the marina and a spot for my RV. I am working this summer and will very much miss; The walks to... More

Stayed in a riverside cottage for one week. Fantastic sleep listening to the running water at night. The cottage was VERY clean and modern. Staff are very friendly and lots of grounds keepers working to keep the place extremely neat and tidy. Just happened to be dog show weekend, it was fun watching the events. Beautiful marina at the facility... More

Stayed in river side sites they were nice but could use a fresh load of gravel to freshen then up and level them out. Views were amazing and the beach was a great place for our dog to run and swim. Check in was quick and easy and security was visible and friendly in the evenings. Looks like the regular... More
