16 of us visited the Anchor Hotel for lunch. The meals were all good and the service was very good. Great pints of Belhaven served, our favourite. Lovely little pub which should be visited if you staying in the area. Great views of the harbour.

Thank you for writing in - big parties of folk are always a challenge, to get you all sorted at the same time and no one waiting - looks like we succeeded though and that everyone was happy. We are indeed blessed with our views and location - hope you get back to see us again - all the best...

Great hospitality. Very friendly staff. Very chilled out place to be, either winter or summer. Cosy fire in winter. Lovely place to sit outside in summer. Magnificent views, good food. Rooms very clean.

What a little gem, we stayed for 3 nights and have nothing bad to say about this hotel at all, we went with our Grandson and our little dog. Nothing is too much trouble and we had very spacious accommodation but i have to say that the staff and owners make this hotel. They cannot do enough for you, its...

This hotel is in a lovely location which great views over the Solway but once inside needs a bit of TLC. We stopped here for lunch and as it was a bit chilly went into the bar. Hopefully there may be another bar less drab than this one!

I chose this hotel as an overnight stop off the Larne ferry. Just the right distance from the ferry and a lovely place to enjoy a beer looking out over the sealoch. I was met by a bright, friendly young lass and shown to my room at the front, looking out to the loch in no time at all. A...

Found on booking dot com. With no other recommendation we booked in late afternoon. The young lady that greeted us was a breath of fresh air and couldn't do enough to help or make us feel welcome. We paid £85 for a triple (double and single) besuited and see view on the top floor. Well equipped room with to, hairdryer,...

We decided on a "stick a pin in the map" spontaneous weekend, the only stipulation was that the place we stayed had to be dog friendly so we could take our lovely pooch Kilo. Well we fell upon a real gem with The Anchor. From the second we entered we were made to feel really welcome. The place had a...

We'd been to the Anchor Hotel before and had actually stayed there on two occasions but we hadn't been for some time when we called in the other day - but we were pleased to find that the same old cosy atmosphere, hearty no-nonsense cooking and pleasant service remained. It was early autumn but still warm enough to sit outside....

We stayed at the Anchor hotel as our usual guest house in the village was full. We were upgraded to the apartment room on the second floor. The bedroom was adequate although the extra single bed took up floor space. There was no wardrobe or drawer space just a rail. It appeared not to be finished. As well as this...

Hello John, thank you very much for taking the time to post a review. The apartment is indeed a flexible space and furnishings do change depending on guest needs, but hope the additional kitchen and lounge gave you a sense of space and privacy.
