Had a good long weekend break at Proctor's Stead, our first trip up to Northumberland with our new caravan. The booking was easy (online with Sally who was excellent at getting back to me with any questions). The route directions from the website were perfect and helped us avoid any smaller roads, so I would recommend following these rather than... More

Stayed here for one night. Nice, quiet, well kept park that is walking distance to a local pub though there's not much else in walking distance to the area. You'll need some 10p coins to get hot water - 10p = 6 minutes of hot water so make sure you've got some or you'll be having a cold shower.

Hubby, myself and dog had weekend at site. Very well maintained site and very good facilities. Owners accommodating. Only downside is no direct area to take dog - no designated area to take for business other than out to roadside. Directly opposite campsite you can go through fields over to beach / coastline (Dunstan Square) if you don't mind walking... More

The site was very well looked after, quiet and clean. We camped. We were lucky to have good weather but torrential rain on our last night left the outer edges of the fields with large puddles of water which were very slow to drain which made packing up a nightmare. Toilets and showers clean and plentiful but be aware, no... More

We went for 4 nights in our caravan and we took our dog. The owners couldn't be more helpful. It was nice and quiet so we asked if we could stay another night which we did. I would definitely go back and would recommend it to anyone

This site is in a great position for visiting Craster, Alnwick,Bamborough and many other locations on the Northumbria coast. The cost is very reasonable and the toilets and showers, although dated, were spotlessly clean and spacious. Someone complained about the six minute shower for 10p. We found on our week's stay this was ample time to have a good shower... More

Stayed at this campsite for 5 nights at the end of August. Easy booking at paying of the deposit, although they were unsure of the total cost (£100-105, well which is it?). Arrived just after a heavy downpour of rain and were shown to our pitch by the gentleman on his bike. It would have been nice if he was... More

This is only our second camping trip, so we're still learning the ropes. We were shown to our pitch by the owner, and then pretty much left to it. He didn't point out where the facilities were, but they're pretty obvious once you look. The site itself was quite busy with caravans, and the "tent field" had about 6 or... More

We were refugees from a nearby CCC site where we had grown heartily sick of petty rules and heavy-handed management. This site was just what we needed - minimal interference, perfectly adequate toilets and showers, shelter from the wind. Quiet at night (apart from the snorer in the next tent!). No frills, just honest camping. It was busy but managed... More
