Went for lunch with extended family ... in search of traditional Kashmiri meat balls ( goshtaba) . Was a gloomy place ... tablecloth was stained with different things here and there. Cutlery was old ...not properly washed . God know why we still ordered... though my sixth sense kept saying just leave ... Well after awhile ordered lunch was placed on the table .... as we were specifically there for goshtaba ... the first serving spoon went towards the dish ... but I stopped in the middle... thanks to my good eyesight... I said there is some insect on the meat ball... my hubby and bro in law said no no it must be pine nut . I said wait a min let me make sure . I picked that suspected insect with a spoon and placed it on the plate ... and Aaagh ! I was right . Called the waiter ... he was speechless... called the manager .... he started with lame excuses then was apologetic and wanted to replace the dish ... but by that time my threshold exceeded and we left the place .

The only reason for selecting this hotel was its vantage location- at the confluence of two rivers Neelam and Jhelum. Its name means ‘meeting or merging or junction’ point/place of two or more streams or crowds. A 3-star hotel, it offers neat and clean airconditioned rooms with free Wi-Fi internet, on-site parking, laundry and dry-cleaning facility, and other amenities at affordable prices. Besides the regular Pakistani and continental dishes, we found some delicious dishes of Kashmiri food. At the back of the hotel where the two rivers flow and merge, we sat in peace and observe silently the natural beauty around. What we noticed that the visitors are destroying the place with trash, something everybody should avoid. The friendly desk, the cooperative staff and a personalized service catered to our needs. Any shortcomings and snags were ignored by us because of our getting many benefits and desirable qualities here.

I visited to Sangam Hotel for lunch and ordered chicken Minchorian. They served me a bowl which had a topping of a piece of egg on the vegetables. I tried hard but could not find the chicken in the bowl. May they forgot to add chicken or were in hurry that they did not wait the chicken to come out of the egg. The also served Nestle water without seal and water was so bitter that I was unable to take second sip, I asked for another bottle which was sealed and had fine taste.
