Nestled between Lough Corrib & Lough Mask in Connemara, an area renowned for its rugged beauty & unforgettable scenery. Our family has been welcoming visitors to Connemara for over half a century now. Fishermen, ramblers, cyclists and visitors from all over the world just love the laid-back atmosphere here. Our 20 en-suite bedrooms are large & comfortable & our food is superb. We are told we serve some the best Chowder, Seafood and Steaks in Connemara, not to mention the lively music and craic we serve in our bar.New to Fairhill House Hotel is our membership with the Irish Whiskey Trail. We now have 150 different whiskies on offer, including the first malt produced in Kentucky since 1919, Pearse Lyons whiskey... distilled by an Irishman of course! It is without a doubt one of the largest selections in the West of Ireland.

A real pleasure to have stayed several days here with my husband-the perfect base to explore Connemara! This hotel provided the perfect mix of genuine hospitality by terrific staff, peace and superb food. There was a great choice between the outside terrace, an atmospheric inside bar or spacious restaurant. Special thanks has to go first to Sally, our initial contact by phone, whose warmth and kindness over our queries about Covid set-up and precautions at the hotel, totally led us to try out this hotel. Throughout our 3 day stay, she continued to be a real beacon of charm and professionalism, but as a unique individual-a true asset to any hotel. Also, as we relaxed in the bar, Gerry ,the barman showed incredible patience, compassion and humour which was so much appreciated

A hidden gem! Ideal when touring stunning Connemara. Unassuming hotel with excellent food, very friendly staff, and nice rooms. Located in the heart of Connemara so we toured around Cong, Clifden, Roundstone, Ballyowen, Carna. We enjoyed a spectacular 2 days - would definitely go back again.

Not having been away since March, we wanted a quiet getaway, and decided to return to Clonbur We booked Fairhill House again, as we have stayed before. The rate of €55.00 per person B&B was reasonable, considering we've heard hotel prices were very high this year. We were also a bit nervous about social distancing, but there was no need to worry, as everything was in place, and we felt very safe . We dined in the bar/restaurant on our first night, and the food was excellent, I definitely recommend the chowder, and I had lovely crispy fresh fish & Chips It was lovely to have a weekend away, and we were delighted with our choice of Fairhill again.

I had to visit this hotel in Clonbur,Co. Galway today and was delighted with the service i received. I parked outside the main doors which to me was very convenient and was delighted to find out that their was also a large parking area in the rear of the hotel. On entry to the lobby of the hotel i was greeted by a young polite member of staff and after he introducing himself, he swiftly went through the Covid 19 protocol which the hotel had adopted by guidelines set out by the government. Secondly i went to the bar area to get some food and again was greeted by a young member of staff who took my order .The food was delicious and full credit has to be given to the Chef and the kitchen staff. The bathrooms were spacious, clean and there was no shortage of soap and hand

My husband & I had a two night stay in Fairhill House Hotel. This hotel was recommended to us by friends and let me tell you it lived up to all of our expectations and more. All the necessary requirements were made to meet COVID guidelines. The staff and Eddie (the owner) couldn't do enough- always so friendly and helpful. Our room was comfortable and very clean. The food in the bar was absolutely delicious as was our breakfast both mornings. The area of Clonbur is beautiful with lovely walking/ cycling trails nearby. Overall, an excellent weekend. We will be back !
