Had the pleasure of dining at this pub several times in the last week when we rented a nearby holiday cottage Could not fault quality of food or the service Pub itself is in a lovely location and a proper pub with period charm

Just stayed the one night and found this pub a real find. Quiet location but near to the A35. Beautiful room friendly hosts and good food. Loved the views and the sunny beer garden.Definitely returning as great value for money.

The Spyway Inn, built in 1845 is a country pub popular with locals and tourists alike. Due to its popularity it is very wise to book in advance to avoid disappointment. There are outside tables and a cute kiddies playground. The menu offers a number of quality choices and the servings are on the generous side. The waitresses are charming,... More

We decided to eat at one of our favourite pubs. We had our warm welcome from Tim very accommodating as usual. Ordered our food my friend enjoyed her fish pie, I had the liver it was over cooked and hard to cut through on one side but the flavour of the gravy and mountain of chips/veg made up for it.... My good lady and I visited The Spyway yesterday having seen some good reviews. We were blown away by the quality of the food we had. She had a Seabream and Crab special said it was one of the best meals she's had in quite a while. The portion was generous, two fillets of Bream with brown crab mayonnaise, a... More

Stopped off for lunch on our annual visit whilst on the way to a festival in Devon. Otter beer kept in excellent condition as always and generous servings of very good quality food at a reasonable price. Traditional favourites such as proper steak & ale pies and fish & chips but the menu also has items such as veggie thai... More

Ate here last week whilst on holiday in the area - a complete chance find as we drove past it on way to Lyme Regis on the back roads, checked the reviews and hey presto we were not disappointed. Large portions, beautifully cooked and very attentive, friendly staff. Wouldn't hesitate to eat here again!

This lovely pub has four very comfortable upstairs ensuite rooms that made the perfect location for a family reunion. The family who run it could not have been more accommodating. They serve great food in a beautiful location 20 minutes drive from the coast.

Ate here twice during a two week holiday in the area. This is a lovely country pub with a separate bar and two dining rooms, all with a lovely atmosphere. Tim welcomed us and got us settled in with drinks and a choice of tables. The chef Dave is to be complimented highly on his food. There is a wide... More
