The room is quite spacious and clean, the staff are very helpful and friendly and the diving is just amazing. You get a nice view from the water bungalows and you don't even have to snorkel to see the marine life! I love how they are environment friendly and you get a bicycle to go around the resort.

Pro: great team , friendly, helpful. Buffet food but we found crabs, shrimps etc.. We were very lucky with the weather in july. Diving at the resort reef is free, plus 3 dives per day. Equipment rental is quite cheap. my room has great view, number 210 , for sunset, at the over the water , the other part of...

Recently returned from a dive holiday staying at the Mabul Water Bungalows which has good access to Sipadan and surrounds. The resort is well run and organised by the very capable Eva and her team. It is a bit of a mission getting there with numerous legs involved to actually reach Mabul but once there t is a spectacular looking...

I have stayed at many places on previous visits and that included the land based section of Mabul Water Bungalows. The "over water" rooms are really good. It looked as if my room on the main entry pier had recently been refurbished, as the paint and finish looked and smelt fresh. The view is amazing plus looking down from the...

If you like to dive the water Bungalows are a great investment. It is an all inclusive except for soft drinks and alcohol. Food is self serve but always coming out so it is fresh. Staff was wonderful in the restaurant. Dive boat was very good and enough help to make sure you felt well taken care of. Three dives...

(Note, this really gets 3.5 stars from me - tripadvisor just doesn't let you use half stars.) Mabul Water Bungalows are in a truly stunning location on an over-developed island with very little charm to it. It’s a testament to whoever designed it that it’s able to make you feel good about being there given that the rest of the...

This place is paradise, friendly staff, great boat crew who look after everything for you. The food is exceptionally good even if you are vegetarian with lovely staff that go out of their way to ensure you have a good meal even if you are at Sipadan (not on the resort). My family had a great time (12yr old and...

This was a fabulous resort to use as base for diving the surrounding areas. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. When not diving in Sipadan or Mabul, we found the dive from the resort to be full of great macro subjects. Lots of frogfish can be found right from the steps. It was great to have the bikes to...

This place is paradise. The staff of the smart resort makes life very easy for you while you stay with them. The resort is beautiful - a little town on stilts in the water just outside mabul island. If you are a diver, you have the option of 3 boatdives a day to divesites around mabul, kapalai and sipadan islands....

We have just returned home after a 12 day trip to Sabah. The 5 nights and 6 days at Borneo Villa 3 at Mabul Water Bungalows were wondeful. Staff were excellent and even though we have had holidays where the diving has been better we have never stayed at such an idyllic location. The villa was superb, pricey by Malaysian...
