We very much enjoyed our stay here and loved our charming and comfortable villa, which was a relaxing (and air conditioned) haven after a busy and hot day exploring! We really liked the decor and ambience of the villa, including a nice shower and all the little touches like the sarongs, cold drinks, and having tea/coffee making facilities. We seemed to be constantly on the go so there wasn't very much down time (we didn't even get to try the spa!) but the various activities were great (including being well organised) and we saw a good selection of wildlife. The food was fine - good selection, tasty and plentiful - though we started to get a little tired of the buffet by the end of our stay as it was always very similar things on offer. We enjoyed the wine and cocktails from the bar in the evenings and there was a pleasant atmosphere amongst the staff and guests. We appreciated having time to get to know our tour group at breakfast and lunch but would have liked an option to dine as a couple at least for one evening rather than having to sit in the group at every meal.

We stayed in the Sukau rainforest lodge and had without a doubt one of the most memorable holiday and experience. Everything was great. We stayed in the villa which was lovely decorated and very spacious. The food was delicious and plenty! It's served in a buffet and it's really tasty and good quality, with different choices every day. We loved the excursions that we had every day and we got plenty of wildlife to see. Everything is very well organised. The whole complex, with the different "chill out areas", the pool, and the board walk, everything is just so amazingly done. More than anything however, is the staff. It's the most friendly people you will ever meet. The same goes for the guides that take you on the excursions, they are all lovely and they will make your stay memorable. A special shout out to Cindy who answered all my (hundreds of) questions that I had and helped me planning and booking. Team Sukau: You're the best! ♡

Most guests arrive at the Lodge by boat travelling along the Kinabatatang River. The welcome is efficient and friendly. There is an induction meeting where you are given the keys to the rooms and some general information. We stayed in one of the Borneo villas overlooking the rainforest. The room was spacious with high windows so you could see the night sky. A welcome touch was the soft drinks and ice cold beers in the fridge! Each day two river cruises were included in the room rate. One in the morning and one in the evening. Life jackets are provided. Guests can also attend a free wild life lecture after supper or pay to go on a night cruise. Other cruises are available at an additional cost. Meals were at a fixed time both for lunch and dinner and were served buffet style. Usually we are not that fond of buffets but there was a good selection for lunch and dinner

This lodge is gorgeous. We booked via Borneo Eco Tours and had a great time. Beautiful room, we had a villa. Great food plenty of it. Decent bar with wine and spirits. The staff is fantastic. The tour was a bit repetitive after a while with much boating up and down the river. Try scheduling the cave tour to break things up a bit. we were glad we did.

This is my second time in Kinabatangan area. The first was in 2011. However this is my first time staying here. Overall the stay was really worth every single money paid. The kinabatangan cruise was really good and professionally conducted. The staffs was polite and helpful. The villa that we stayed at was nice and clean. The environment of this property is really good as it is surrounded with forest. The foods served was good with variety of choices. I strongly recommend everyone to stay here to have an amazing experience in the forest.
