The hotel is best to spend with for your family. The Room is not too bad..even XOXO But in my opinion the service of the hotel should be more and more improved. The outdoor activities are very enjoyable...Canoeing, Flying Fox, High Rope, Fishing which children love to do. The restaurant's food is not so good. The taste is very plain. Overall the hotel itself spread the leisure for the adults and children, and i would recommend this hotel to others with children.

We enjoyed very much. The complimentary used of facilities is great i.e. Flying fox, tight ropes. It also comes with the dinner which is nice surprise. A very Eco friendly resort providing a big mineral water dispenser rather than the small bottles. Thumbs up for saving the earth.

Dear Idatono, Thank you very much for your kind review and we are happy that you have enjoyed our facilities. We are also happy that you recognize us as a Eco Friendly Hotel. As you could see we have a lot of trees and plants, which many of them are very rare, so we really care about the environment. Actually we have plans to expand our Eco Friendly status. We hope to see you again in the future, so you can see our improvements! Kind regards, Edwin Klok Operations Manager

Dear Utet S. We are happy to hear that your kids loved our hotel, but unfortunately you didn't really like it yourself. We would like to apologize that you didn't had the experience with us that you where expecting. As for the food we want to apologize as we had some hick-ups. Together with our F&B Manager we have made some changes in the kitchen to upgrade our standards, which directly took its efforts. Also for the noise from our neighbors we would like to apologize. I would like to explain a little bit about the situation, so for you and maybe some other old guests and new guest can understand a little bit what is going on and that we, as Management take this matter really serious. We are really unfortunate with our dangdut cafe neighbors and we are fighting already for a long time against a very bad and awful system. But for our guests we will not give up, and will fight as long is needed and this place will not disturb any more sleep of our valuable guests. Al tough my team and myself hope to welcome you again in the future to enjoy the real Danau Dariza experience. Please feel free to contact me personally. edwinklok@danaudariza.com Kind regards, Edwin Klok Operations Manager

Went here for a gathering in a big group with husband and 2 kids aged 8 and 10. I'd called the design as a 'kitsch' since the buildings are overly designed following various Indonesian traditional houses (you can choose either to stay in Balinese house, Gadang Minangkabau house, and Batak house, or Sundanese house), but it is actually in West Java with Sundanese surroundings... kind of inappropriate... The rooms seemed quite clean, but however I and the kids sneezed a lot when we were in the room (probably from the bamboo wall panel or the blanket, not sure...). The bamboo panel and dark stone material for the room walls created shabby feeling. Each room on the 2nd floor has front and back balconies (room we got had one facing the lake and the other side facing rice fields),

My 9 year old son loved it. The waterslide and pools were just what he was after. The idea is great with rowboats at your door and things to do, it just is very tired. We were told the resort is only 6 years old, hard to believe as it looked like 20 without maintenance. The restaurant was totally empty both times we went and the food was pretty basic. As a place to put your head for the night, it was fine, but there was a large incentive to get going in the morning.

Booking a proper hotel in Cipanas (Garut) within short notice will be ussually ended up with disappointment. All nice hotels are ussually fully booked at weekends and long holiday. The perfect time to book is about 2 weeks before the D-day, except if you plan to stay during weekdays. That's why when we suddenly plan to stay there during the last school-holiday, we doubted to get the nice room and very surprised when we did. We did the reservation and then read the review later, as almost felt Regret after reading these horified reviews. PLUS Never stayed here before, so we deliberately takes Batak (bungalow with one bedroom) and NTT (bungalow with 2 huge bedrooms, 1 bathroom in each bedroom, 1 toilet, 1 kitchen, 1 living room with dining room, and 1 jacuzzy). All bungalows

Please reconsider if you plan to go to this place! The bathroom smell like poop all the time (not sure where it is coming from) and the bathtub is very dirty. There is a night club infront of the hotel that play very loud music until 12 AM, it looks like somebody play music in your room, made you could not sleep. We called the front office and they said there is nothing they can do eventhough there have already a lot of complain about it, SHAME ON YOU! Stay at your home quietly and save your money or go somewhere else. Honestly, we don't want to stay at this place eventhough it is FREE. Thank god we only stay here one night (Dec 26, 2011).

We stayed in junior suite, w my 2 kids aged 7 n 4, also my parents. Room was not too clean but ok. Bathroom has no hot water, don't think about the natural hot water!! We stayed in cheap hotel w a small pool in bathroom w natural hot water before. Using swimming pool has a trick as it opens for public. Best time only between 6-8am, otherwise pool is crowded like school pool. Only 1 part w hot water. Pool is clean though, unlike Sabda alam water boom. But Sabda alam has more water play, suit for kids. Best thing about the hotel was the small lake right at the front of the room, and the rowing boat which available for every room.
