Pros: Lovely bungalows with an open bathroom, everything inside smells amazing, the room, towels, beddings. Their cleaners are just awesome, paying attention to every little detail and always smiling. We changed 5 hotels so far, and this place has the best cleaners. Breakfast served on your balcony. Free tea and snacks in the afternoon. Water dispenser for free refills inside your room. We got to check-in early. The staff was very friendly and helpful and organized our transfers. Located 5min on foot from the beautiful Dream beach. I probably forgot something, but overall we're very happy with our stay. Cons: These are just some tiny details, but I will mention it just in case this is very important to you. There is no decent convenience store closeby if you need something more than food and drinks, but it's a small island so there are not so many bigger stores there anyway. Like any bungalow, it has low sound insulation so you might be awoken by the cats early in the morning. Power was off couple of times during the storm, but the back-up generator was turned on within 10 minutes. All in all, I highly recommend this place. And it does have a swimming pool now!

What a wonderful place for those who want to avoid crowds on Nusa Lembongan. The Akah Cottages are a lovely complex of 12 cottages, a nice infinity pool and a restaurant on site. Scooters can be rented there for periods of 3 or 24 hours. Only 2mn walk from the breathtaking Devil's Tears, 3mn from Dream Beach and 5mn from Sunset Beach Club. We chose this place to be in a quiet area of the island and we definitely not regret it. The cottage are wonderful, comfortable, air conditioned, really well kept with a real sense of details for everything (welcome drink, garden, room...). The staff is really lovely and helpful. They make you feel at home. Breakfast could look simple at the first view but it was not. We enjoyed it on the 3 mornings when we stayed there. We had dinner twice: the menu offers an impressive variety of dishes and the cooking is made on demand. We also liked it. We definitely recommmend this lovely place for it's charm, location and friendliness.

Thanks Komang and the team, we have a pleasant stay for 2 nights. The room is clean, strong air con, cold water in minibar and enough towels and rack for drying our clothes. They provide turndown service and honeymoon cake for our trip! What a big surprise! I also love the simple homemade food in Akah restaurant and the lovely staff provide free transfer to the pier for our day tour to Penida and snorkelling trip. Thank you so much! We would definitely come back again :-)

We loved the Akah Cottage! The host is a wonderful woman who makes sure your stay is perfect. The cottage itself is lovely, great bed, it has everything you might need, clean towels everyday and a special outdoor bathroom. Showering while in the sun and looking up at the sky is fun! And last but definitely not least; it’s only a small walk from here to Devils’ Tear and Dream Beach.

This is a tricky review for me as I have very few cons about the cottages themselves, just when might be best to stay. Firstly, a big thank you to the young woman I had a lovely conversation with about family life etc in Bali. I wish her and her family much happiness.. Now, Dec in Akah Cottages - I decided to stay here as it was ideally located to the three places I wanted to visit. Great location for them..Only problem, the amount of rain for my three day stay..Yes it was rainy season and therefore I expected some rain for short periods of time but this wasn't so in Dec. It was stated the amount of rain was exceptional. The thing being, one must review a place on when one is there not when not there. The roads/walkways leading to the cottages were little rivers after the rain. You're feet were going to walk through mud water, there wasn't an option unless on a motorbike. The rooms themselves are a great size, outside bathroom. Again one must really think of the season. Rooms were a little too dark even with the lights on. WiFi was great, no television. I read often people saying TV isn't important while on holiday, I disagree. Here being the perfect example. When stuck in your room TV is very important, plus some of us are early birds. The amount of rain meant it wasn't worth going out just to be soaked again. There wasn't anywhere to dry one's clothes anyway.. Summer here would be fantastic, I would highly recommend it. Rainy season, not so much.
