We wanted to stay away from crowded Playa Branca, so the tourists guy suggested us this place. It takes 45 minutes from Cartagena by boat, and honestly it was kind of disappointing. The hotel is old, maybe in the old days it used to be a great resort but now it is decadent. No beach actually, there's an artificial lagoon... More

I'm writing this review after spending all day on terrible locals-only boat tour of the aquarium and playa Blanca (people nonstop trying to sell you things, huge pieces of coral in the ocean will cut your feet). Here goes - yesterday we put down a deposit with a Cocoliso rep for their VIP trip to their private resort on isla... More

They tell you will be there in 45 min.... 1h30 They tell you come back at 5:00pm .... you come back at 02:00pm Very bad artificial beach. Very bad food. They do lie about everything. Do not spend your money in Cocoliso. This is the same company which provide the ALCATRAZ Tours. This is hell.

When choosing to go to Cocoliso for the day, we were shown pictures of a long sandy beach - that's not the case. It's a run down, older place where you can go to use the pool for the day. If we wanted that, we could have stayed at our hotel in Cartagena. We actually left and went to another... More

We were a group of 5 people going for a daily excursion to cocoliso resort. The people that sell us the boat trip came up with picture of a long sandy beach wich absolutely do not exist infact it is broken in 4 pieces because the boats are arriving at the bridges. So it was fake advertise . Nothing to... More

If you'd like to get out of the over populated/dirty touristic beaches in Cartagena and Playa Blanca, Cocoliso is a great option. They do day tours (9-5) for about 100thousand pesos but bare in mind each way takes almost 2 hours, leaving you with about 4 hours of beach time. What we did was to book a night (316 thousand... Spent 6 nights here in January 2016 and had a very good time. The place is professionally managed and the staff are courteous and efficient. It's true that when the day trippers from Cartagena come from 1030am-3pm it can be busy, but one can escape. We rented bicycles and explored the island, which has some other good resorts and beaches,... More

I have been here 3 times now. Little "beach" area but lots of room by the huge pool. This year they had a floating dock you can swim out to and sunbathe. Love the water here. Emerald color. Not big waves. A bit rocky from the coral. Lynch is kind of boring. You can buy drinks and beer - not... More

I spent three days and two nights at Cocoliso and can highly recommend the property. It's an outstanding value on the Carribean with a pool and dining facilities as well as access to diving, snorkeling and other activities. The sunsets are amazing. The staff were great and very accommodating, the ocean was beautiful and so was the snorkeling ($15 for... More

A nice little place that was quite relaxing, but certainly not as nice as many of the all-inclusive resorts in Central America. Nice pool with a swim up bar, but the beach was quite small and virtually no sand. The room was quite old and could use some renovation, especially the bathroom. But again, pretty much what we expected from... More
