Stayed here for 1 nt. on our way back to Ontario from Whitehorse. Pros: Front desk receptionist was friendly and helpful in check-in; there were luggage carts available; location is very convenient; room was reasonably clean. Cons: Hard, old mattress; lumpy old pillows; old, rough, frayed & thread-bare towels; severely stained curtains; bathroom door actually hits the toilet seat when opening & closing (i.e. bathroom is VERY small). When you book a hotel, you are, in good faith, purchasing a good night’s sleep - THAT is the “product” you pay for. When the AC unit for the room above drips loudly all night long on the outside of your room’s AC unit, you are denied that quality sleep you paid for. Enough said.

Spent three nights in the King Suite at the Paradise Inn in Valleyview in early May. The website describes "a full kitchen with dishwasher. Eating bar." There was a kitchen with stove and full size fridge. No microwave. No pots or pans. (I did get a saucepan and frying pan after asking. The man at the desk didn't understand what I was asking for at first) No eating bar. No dishwasher. I had to place the dish draining thing on the stove to dry dishes in as there was no counter space at all. All food prep had to be done on the cutting board placed on the stove. The TV in the kitchen/living room hid the plug in box for the TV itself and the coffee pot. We had to take the tv off the wall in order to plug them in. The separate bedroom was nice. The bed was comfortable. Some of the dishes in the cupboard were dirty (coffee cups not washed well).

Stopped in while riding the Alcan, stopped in here and got a room. Actually, a King Suite, at a great rate! The room was big! only thing missing was a tv in the sitting room, Minor detail, the room was quiet, comfortable and the ladies at the front desk in the afternoon were very nice. The tall guy in the morning was great to talk to.. Breakfast was good..

Well this is the 3rd time we’ve stayed at @paradiseinnvalleyview and it will be the last. Toilet is broke but the manager, Alex, won’t allow a room change. Too bad, because the front desk staff are nice and the rooms are clean. I shut the toilet water off so I don’t have to hear the water run constantly and we get to run down to the main floor and use a washroom if we need to go. How accommodating 🙄

I am actually very disappointed on several areas 1. Beds were hard and pillows rock hard. Beds were not cleaned and overall feel was off 2. Customer service was extremely poor at the front 3. Gym did not even open until 8 am . What is the point of having a gym for your guests if most people cannot use it and to restrict the time for no reason does not make sense
Very disappointed and will not stay here again

As we encountered inclement weather at Valleyview we were forced to find accommodations early evening. At the time the whole town was experiencing a disruption of internet service. I had just finished a four hour chemo treatment in Edmonton and was not feeling very well. We were told we could not be checked in because of the outage and we were denied the name and phone number of the manager upon request Our car was stuck in the parking lot of the hotel and we were told they had nothing to help us. To be turned away from this establishment was inconceivable. Other hotels in Valleyview experienced the same problems but found ways to accommodate travellers. I am totally appalled at the treatment we received and have passed my story on to many others.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. First and foremost, we want to express our heartfelt empathy for the incredibly challenging circumstances you were facing that evening, especially following your chemotherapy treatment. We deeply regret the stress and frustration you encountered and the impact it had on your journey. The night in question was truly an extraordinary situation for our community, as the severed fiber line caused a complete loss of internet, cellular service, and even analog phone systems. This outage also impacted our property management system, which operates on the cloud, and made it impossible for us to access reservations, process payments, or check in guests. Due to this unprecedented situation, we were left with no choice but to close the hotel for unoccupied rooms as we simply could not operate without the necessary technology to ensure proper accommodations and safety for our guests. We understand how difficult it must have been to be turned away, especially under your circumstances. Please know that our decision was not made lightly, and we meant no disrespect to you or any of the other travelers we had to turn away that night. As a policy, we treat all of our guests equally and with the utmost respect, and our team worked hard to communicate this challenging situation as best as we could in the moment. We are truly sorry that we were unable to assist further with your situation, including your car being stuck in the parking lot. We recognize this added to your frustration, and we sincerely apologize for the distress this caused. While we hope you’ll understand the difficult position we were in that evening, we acknowledge that your experience did not meet your expectations or ours. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us directly if you would like to discuss this further. Your feedback is important to us, and we are committed to learning and improving in any way we can. Wishing you strength, health, and safe travels ahead. Paradise Inn & Suites

I have been staying here since it first opened in 2009. It has changed hands and names a few times. Plenty of parking. Located along the highway next to Tim Hortons and Shell. The room i had was the small standard room no closet, no clock radio, the chair in room is stained, poor lighting for working, rusted towel holders make them look very dirty, The bed, really needs to be replaced. No breakfast provided due to COVID was only informed the Boss next door was open for business. As this hotel was not really affected by COVID (always busy) maybe they can start to spend some money changing out beds and furniture.

IMHO I would avoid if at all possible. Some staff are great but others need to learn what customer service is. The building is showing lack of maintenance and parking lot is full of mud and trash, desperately in need of cleaning. When deficiencies are brought to Managers attention in essence I was told too bad.

Travelled to Valleyview and stayed two nights at the Paradise Inn. Room was very clean and had all modern amenities. Check was quick and reception staff both days made our stay very relaxed especially the lady on Saturday. There was a small mix up and she rectified it immediately. Breakfast at the restaurant was great. Highly recommend for the price, pool, etc. Clean , comfortable and all staff professional and friendly. Hats off to the management!

We stayed in room 212 (a suite), it was dirty and certainly showed to be a “work crew” room. I reached out 2 times to the manager Mike and sent him several pictures with some serious concerns with the cleanliness of the room. That was a month ago.
