We stayed here on the first night of our Auswalk Great Ocean Walk Highlights self-guide walk – five days, four nights, three days walking (see separate review). It is a unique experience staying in a cottage that is over 150 years old. And when the last tourists leave at 5 pm, you are there almost alone, with one or two...

We stayed for two nights in the Lighthouse Lodge. The location is fantastic and the staff are friendly and helpful. However, the accommodation itself is poorly maintained and greatly overpriced. Yes, as others have pointed out, it is old and historic which we were fully expecting and looking forward to. We weren't however, expecting the poor state of repair /...

I booked into to the Lighthouse Keeper's Cottage for three nights/four days to imbibe some of the intriguing history in this remote outpost - I was looking for some writing inspiration - perfect place!

We stayed one night in the studio apartment (upgraded from the one room cottage on arrival - sweet!!) and loved it. The crowds pre 6pm were not a highlight but once they left it was peaceful outside. On arriving the staff were very welcoming and let us know when the room was ready as we did arrive earlier than check...

we stayed in the Lighthouse lodge B&B section of this facility. It was $240 per night and would have been overpriced at $120. The service was almost non existant. we had to chase around for an hour just to get some milk in the room for coffee. The room wasnt serviced nightly which one would expect for a b&B, particularly...

The drive to Cape Otway from Warrnambool was relaxing through the National Park forest. Walking to the lighthouse was easy & the views spectacular. There was a guide in the lighthouse with plenty of information & historical facts about the lighthouse & its past. It is the oldest working lightstation in Australia. Its an easy climb & a good view...

We stayed here for one night during our great ocean 4 day walk organized by Walk 91 and stayed in the studio apartment attached to the cafe. Arriving mid afternoon gave us time to see the lighthouse and surrounding buildings which were especially interesting. But when the lighthouse shut at 5pm and all the people were gone we were able...

Decided to stay here on our road trip from Adelaide to Melbourne. A fantastic setting and accommodation in keeping with the history of the Great Otway lightstation. Accommodation always clean and functional. Given the location amenities were understandably restricted with no wifi or mobile signal (except at the top of the light house). We stayed in a B&B with only...

This is not a five star serviced accommodation facility. So, stop now if you a looking for a full luxury serviced venue. And stop now if you are not self-sufficient and can't build a fire. You need to be someone who loves adapting to a building and working with it for the experience and getting some indication of what it...

If you want out of the way then this is the place to stay. The is basic but comfortable in a fabulous location in port Otway national park. Highlights are the remoteness, once the tourists have gone at 5pm it's just you and the lighthouse. The koala spotting en route to the accommodation is 5* and more or less guaranteed...
