Beds are hard as a rock, sheets where not really dirty they where just very old, we found multiple hairs on different parts of the room, the rooms have a weird humidity smell (2 rooms same smell) air conditioner very noisy, light fixtures hanging from the wall, you can also hear the noise from all the 18 wheelers passing by, the cherry on top of the milkshake was the maid banging on every door at 8am to see what rooms where occupy, I asked the young girl at from desk if this was normal she jiggle a little and said yes they have to do that ! Unbelievable..

My husband and I decided to give this hotel a second chance after a so-so stay back in March (I wrote a review for that stay, too). BIG MISTAKE. Again, the only thing we liked was the breakfast. Great choice of fruit, cereal, a main dish and various side dishes. Now for the cons. Bathroom fixtures are rusted and need to be replaced. Half the channels on tv were frozen. Location is not great if you're looking for a place to eat lunch or dinner. The only plus is a Starbucks right next door, but other than that, you have a good walk ahead of you if you're hungry. Here's the clincher, though. The hotel offers free shuttle service to the airport. The afternoon before we flew out, we went to the front desk to reserve the shuttle for the following morning. We were told that the shuttle was out of service, but that the hotel would provide taxi service to the airport. Naturally, because they offer free shuttle service, we figured the taxi ride would be free (we've had hotels pay for our taxi before so we know it can be done). NOPE. Not only was it not free, we were extremely overcharged. To give you an idea, we paid $25 for the taxi ride from the greyhound bus terminal to the hotel (about 18 kilometers distance). From the hotel to the airport (13 kilometers), we paid almost $50. Needless to say, we learned our lesson and will never stay here again.

Checked in after 10 pm, was so tired.. quick shower and literally fell into bed. The bed was comfy, the room was cool, a/c very loud. Next morning I got up, tried to take a hot shower, the handle was turned to hot, water wasn't even lukewarm, I stayed in for 10 minutes, nothing. The sink was a tad bit better, water was barely warm. There was mildew on the shower curtain, and on the tiles. Slight smell in the bathroom as well. Four towels in the bathroom, I had to walk on wet, cold, tiles back to the bedroom, I ended up wearing flip flops in the shower. Front desk spoke little English, but we communicated well enough to understand each other. It's a perfect location, Starbucks next door, IHOP a couple minutes down the road.. the building is well insulated, the traffic outside is easily ignored. I was to stay for a week, but after looking at 7 different rooms with only two showers with minimal mildew, I left, I couldn't stay, was too uncomfortable. The rooms are nice, the bathroom wasn't.

Spent two nights here before flying out. Friendly staff, nice, warm breakfast and free shuttle to airport at any time (we scheduled it for 5am, and they were ready and waiting for us). Unfortunately, those are the only pros. The rooms were dingy and need to be updated. The carpet was dirty and spotted with stains. The metal fixtures in the bathroom are rusted and need to be replaced. There were a couple of pump bottles of hand cream and hand soap and both were empty. No hairdryer in the room, and when I asked for one at the front desk, I was told I needed to leave a deposit in order to get one. First hairdryer stopped working after a few minutes and needed to be replaced. Elevators are tiny. My husband and I barely fit with one backpack and hand luggage. One weird thing that happened was we were never asked for payment when we checked in, even though my husband had his credit card in hand, ready to pay. When the guy at the front desk didn't accept the card, we assumed our card was charged through the reservation. It wasn't until we asked for the hairdryer that we were told we hadn't paid for our room. Another issue we had was the reservation policy. About an hour after we made our reservations, a friend actually offered us his place to stay. We called the hotel to cancel our reservations and were told we would still be charged for one night. Needless to say, we ended up just keeping the reservations. If you're looking for a place just to sleep, I recommend staying here. Otherwise, it's best to spend a few extra dollars and staying somewhere else.

Perfect location as we traveled through Monterrey on our way back to Canada. Staff spoke English and were very helpful with directions to the local sites. Complementary breakfast and wifi was also up to par I would stay there again! Make sure to visit downtown Monterrey as it's probably one of the most scenic cities I've been to.

Stayed here for 1 night on way through Monterrey. Poor hotel - would avoid. Here are a few of the highlights: - Arrived at hotel to find no towels in room. Went to reception and was told "5 mins". Understanding time has different units of measurement in Mexico I chased after 20 mins by calling reception and was told another 15 mins - she was waiting for the shuttle driver to come back. Chased in person a 3rd time after another 20 mins and they finally came. No apology. - Room still had clothes in from previous occupant. - Free breakfast was all gone at 7:30. The kitchen was suitable for a 5 room hotel not a place of this size so they couldn't keep up - "Shuttle service" to the airport was unreliable. Again was told 12 mins, then another 10, then another 5 etc... - 2 lifts, only 1 worked. And it was slow so well backed up with people waiting. Plenty of choice elsewhere in the area. Would recommend looking at another one!

We stayed at this hotel for two nights in December 2015. The location is OK but nothing within walking distance and the area is also not pedestrian friendly. We arrived at the hotel and were greeted by an unfriendly lady at the front desk, she wasn't rude but she was just not what you would expect from a service person. We were given a room that hadn't even been cleaned, I'm assuming, since the night before. The cleaning lady told us they were understaffed but that the room would be ready in 20 minutes. We decided not to wait there and went for a bite to eat. The hotel is conveniently located if you are driving as Citadel shopping mall is merely 5 min away. When we came back, we went to the room which was sparsely decorated and quite small even for that type of hotel. The sheets in one of the beds had a couple of what looked like cigarette burns, and this is a non-smoking hotel. The bathroom was small and they don't even offer a hairdryer. There were two complimentary 500 ml. water bottles in the room, one of which was open and almost empty. This was particularly disgusting as it seems they don't even bother checking for this kind of thing. The wifi never worked either. Breakfast was very poor, hardly anything to choose from and with no staff to wait on the customers, each one of us was asked to pick up after ourselves, this is definitely not what I expect from this hotel chain. There was nobody to help the customers with their suitcases either, no bell-boys of any kind. This was a very disappointing experience, the price-quality ratio is absolutely appalling, I am definitely not coming back as there are many other similarly-priced hotels in the area.

The price is acceptable with free transport to pick up at airport but too bad nobody gave me the detail of driver and where he was waiting for, so I definitely took taxi myself(waste the time and money). The room is noisy from neighbor and outside itself. I can't sleep even super tired from long flight.

I stayed here 4 nigths and the room is comfortable, clean and the building is well maintained. The best is the breakfast include on the room (it is similar to cityexpress and One), however the vast of it at hotel mision is an asset.
