Lovely antique furniture, helpful staff, delicious food, and a beautiful old building. Breakfast and dinner were both excellent. Very clean, could not be faulted in any way. We really enjoyed our stay.

Stayed for one night over the Easter weekend and were given the loveliest, sunny room. There's a pretty little beer garden and the whole building is quite charming. Food was lovely and very generously proportioned, unfortunately I was unable to enjoy it, which had nothing to do with the hotel itself as I became quite ill during our stay so... More

Just stayed one night and wish it could have been longer. Staff and service are excellent Food is freshly made, beautifully presented and above all delicious. Rooms and bar/restaurant and stunning. You can tell a lot of time and effort has been put into making them fit the age of the building while ensuring they are modern. Lovely little beer... More

All I can say is , why haven't I been here before !! Beautiful place, with amazing staff . Lovely decor, not busy today as there sister pub The Anchor had a fete. Not a massive menu, but great choices and all food is locally sourced. We had bread and olives to start, then had a roast beef and roast... More

Stayed for three days, while cycling around Suffolk. The youthful staff were welcoming, keen and very helpful. Excellent breakfast and dinner. They have a well-chosen selection of fine wines too, and pleasingly, priced quite clemently. As a solo guest, I found it very relaxing and enjoyable.

This divine little pub is one of the most charming, historic and welcoming places we have ever stayed at. Food is wonderful too. It is in a charming village, a short drive from places like Flatford Mill. The staff could not have been nicer, we do hope to go back soon

We stayed in room 3, which had a large bathroom, plenty of space. Our room was nicely decorated, comfortable bed and big enough for what we needed. Staff here were excellent, VERY friendly indeed (unlike those at the other pub in the village). Bar area smells like a lovely wood fire, all nicely decorated. We had afternoon which was top... More

We stayed for one night at the angel and we loved it!! Our room was spotless and a good size with a big comfy bed. The hotel is gorgeous with lots of history. We had dinner in the restaurant which was out standing and breakfast was very English, just what we needed. I had the full English muffin. The local... More

We recently enjoyed a relaxing stay at the Angel Inn. We were in room 6, which was nicely appointed with a comfortable bed and a modern bathroom. A tip: Mind your head. The doors to the room and to the loo are short, making it easy to hit your head. Keep a pocket flashlight on the nightstand in case you... More
