Our stay at Poplars Farmhouse was definitely right up there with the very best of our B&B experiences. A beautiful house and garden, large comfortable room with great attention to detail, delicious breakfast and charming hosts. The setting is idyllic and a choice of village pubs is just a 10-15 minute stroll across country paths. We chose to eat at... More

We had a great 3 night stay in this charming Country House set in an amazing peaceful location with a genuine feel of an historic building. The warmth and attention was excellent with hand picked tasteful furnishings throughout especially in our spacious room. The Garden view is Beautiful, Breakfasts great and the hosts never seem to stop working at making... More

Without doubt the best B&B I've ever stayed in.From arriving in the magical setting,to being welcomed with real warmth, tea in the tranquil garden, with home baked cakes....and that was just the beginning..the rooms are large, spotless, and comfortable. The breakfast is delicious with endless choice of freshly cooked, locally sourced food. But best of all is the warmth and welcome of the owners, who couldn't do enough... We needed to escape London and work for some peace and quiet - and to try and regain sanity after a particularly difficult time. Poplars was a perfect place to do so. It is a stunningly beautiful house and garden tucked away in a quiet part of Suffolk yet only a short drive from London. David was an absolutely wonderful... More

Charming B&B with beautiful summer gardens full of song birds and owls. I stayed in the boat room which was lovely; the bed was very comfortable and the selection of teas was brilliant; above and beyond the norm for a B&B. The breakfast was delicious; again above and beyond, my scrambled eggs with smoked salmon arrived with fennel fronds, herbs... More

Just come back from a two night stay and hesitant to write a review because Poplars is so lovely I want to keep it to myself. The pictures don't do it full justice. It's lovingly restored and exquisitely arranged but yet so comfortable and welcoming - oozes charm and invites you to relax. David was on-hand to advise on places... More

Just the most perfect place to chill out and be pampered by the hosts. The whole place is very comfortable clean and tidy. The gardens are huge and un overlooked and the village of Stoke-by-Nayland is just a short walk away.

Fantastic doesn't do this place justice, from the beginning to end of our weekend. Food was first class and David and Paul just amazing. Thank you for the experience. Oh and the gardens and lawns were beautiful.

This was one of our best stays in UK, David was so friendly and helpful with places to see on our stay in the area. We stayed 4 days at the end of our holiday and it was perfect. Quiet, great choice of breakfasts.( Vegemite included Aussies !). Every comfort that you would have at home including a DVD in... More

Made to feel welcome; was able to arrive early and change before a local function. Off the beaten track; lovely walks nearby. Breakfast was superb; great choice and some unusual offerings. The house is beautiful with lots of character. Good local pubs nearby with great food. Will definitely return to explore more of Suffolk.
