Very attractive pub in a lovely old village of Stoke By Nayland. Beer excellent so my husband says! also lovely Suffolk cider. Food very good especially seafood. Starter and fish mains. Small fish and chips huge! Puddings we had the trio, disappointing but marmalade sponge excellent. We will be back!

I ate here at Sunday lunchtime with a friend and three teenagers. The food was superb, big portions and very tasty. Fish and chips went down a treat. Chocolate fondant with ice cream very tasty indeed. Good service too. Highly recommended.

Was here last night with as part of a group of 10 (including a 2yr old). Did not start great as there were no hi-chairs....!! But this was the only negative. I had the plaice with chorizo and it was really delicious. Others had chicken, while some had the flat iron steaks. No complaints from anyone re the food! Mains... More

Stayed at the Crown for 2 nights for the 5th time, we go there for a chance to relax as we have busy jobs. We find we can really chill and not think about home or work. The staff are very welcoming and always remember us. It is unusual in hotels and pubs, but many of the staff have been... More

We have stayed at the Crown several times before and found it constantly at a high standard. This time we stayed two nights, Thursday, 11th and Friday 12th August. The accommodation, food (breakfast and dinner) and staff were all of a very high standard. We had a room with a terrace which we used a lot as the weather was... More

I like the option to have a small starter, small main course and small pudding, that way I can try a starter, which I never bother with usually and have a pretty much guilt free pudding! The beer garden is lovely, as are all the well tended plants which surround the whole building.

We've been visiting The Crown to stay in the hotel and to eat dinner in the restaurant for a number of years now. The food at dinner & breakfast on our latest visit was as outstanding as usual, but let down (and not for the first time), by simply appalling service. The service at dinner was very bad (speedy, but... More

I stayed here after attending a friends wedding, the room was lovely, our bed was comfortable and the bathroom was fabulous! The view from the window was really pleasant. We didn't hear any noise from other guests coming and going. The lady on reception was very curious and helpful. Breakfast in the morning was plentiful and just what the doctor... More

You will have to book a table as it gets very busy. I like everything about The Crown - the decor, the atmosphere, the (very good) food, even the soap and hand cream in the ladies! It's great for any occasion whether you're going as a couple or as a group, and they have a small hotel on site too.

Three night stay in this wonderful hotel, beautiful, tastefully decorated, high spec and spotlessly clean rooms. Set in delightful surroundings with Constable country scenery. Excellent choice of food, professionally presented and delicious. Faultless service and friendly staff. We will definitely being visiting again. Highly recommended.
