Good, fresh food, always a good selection on the specials board. Friendly service. Nice atmosphere - cosy in the winter and pretty courtyard for the summer months. Disappointing that there are no baby changing facilities though.

I have been here countless times as a couple and with family - every visit we have been really pleased with the food and service. Lots of options on the menu, the fish dishes are particularly good. Pleasant atmosphere inside - nicely decorated and always busy. (Recommend you book).

This restaurant is in a lovely setting (even on a rainy day) we had a 3 course set lunch menu, all of which was delicious. The staff were friendly and the service was good. This is a dog friendly restaurant (only in a certain area) we would definitely return for another visit next time we are in the area.

Arrived at 3pm Saturday which is the earliest time to check in. Nice setting, Friendly receptionist and well-appointed room. Walked over to the pub/restaurant for a light lunch only to be told by staff that they had stopped serving food! Even after we explained that we were hotel guests, we were told to drive to Stratford St Mary for some... More

This is an excellent pub in a delightful village. The pub has been imaginatively designed with eating arrangements for all types of meals. The patio is extensive with fantastic views. The food covers all sorts from snacks to full meals with the latter being either good basic fair or much more imaginative dishes. We went for lunch with a view... More

Had dinner here with friends a week a go and just wanted to say what a great time we had. We were quite a large group and all our food was good and quickly delivered. I have to say they do the best Pizzas i have ever tasted outside Italy, and the Malbec is rather good too!

We stayed for two nights in a superior twin room. It was spacious and well and tastefully set up. The weather was very hot and so was the room. Some aircon would have been good but there was only a fan. The bathroom was very modern with state of the art equipment but getting into and out of the bath... More

We came across this pub by accident walking round the beautiful old village of Stoke with its interesting church and old houses. We called in the morning for a coffee and again in the evening for a beer and a snack. On both occasions we were impressed by the friendly and personal approach to the customer and the quality of... Very attractive pub in a lovely old village of Stoke By Nayland. Beer excellent so my husband says! also lovely Suffolk cider. Food very good especially seafood. Starter and fish mains. Small fish and chips huge! Puddings we had the trio, disappointing but marmalade sponge excellent. We will be back!

I ate here at Sunday lunchtime with a friend and three teenagers. The food was superb, big portions and very tasty. Fish and chips went down a treat. Chocolate fondant with ice cream very tasty indeed. Good service too. Highly recommended.
