It was such a pleasure to meet Jill and stay at her guest house. Our room was very comfortable and had beautiful views of the coast. The nights were peaceful and we slept very well. Jill prepared us such delicious breakfasts and gave us great advice about which hikes to take around the area. I'm looking forward to the next...

I and my friends spent four holidays in Mouresi/Pelion (2010, 2011, 2012, 2015). Old Silk Store is in my opinion one of the most beautiful vacation house within a floral paradise in a silent village. A silent and pleasant garden full of flowers to enjoy meals or chatting with friends. Professional British host, deeply understanding what tourism is about, equipped...

I come every summer to this place and I have hesitated a lot before writing on it, because it is really an hidden gem and I'd like that it keeps his romantic and enchanting climate for ever far from the noise of some turistic places. And Jill, the english owner, has a special allure: she is full of enthusiasm and...

An emphasis on nature and the benefits of a traditional simple life, this truly is a relaxing escape. The view from the balcony in the guest area is out of this world, the rooms are quaint and antiquated; with an attention to detail that makes them first class. One feels like they have gone back in time whilst staying here,...

Jill makes staying at the Old Silk Store a totally relaxing holiday. There is nothing pretentious about it and she always makes time to help you plan the day walking, relaxing or sitting on a beach. She is well known and liked by everyone in the area. A car is essential - not only for getting to her but for...

The holiday I spent at the Old Silk Store was heavenly, it reminded me of how Greece used to be 30 years ago, natural, unspoilt beauty, this ideally located guest house, with its gorgeous views and lush scenery is perfect if you want to get away from typical tourist resorts, this is Greece at its best. Jill, the owner was...

We decided this year to get away from it all and visit the Greek mainland for some walking rather than an island. We selected the Tsagarada region in Pelion after reading favourable reviews online and in the Rough Guide. The Old Silk Store, in Mouresi, proved to be a great choice. Our room was located on the first floor with...

This fine old Pelion house has been lightly restored by English owner Jill Sleeman and comes the closest I can imagine to staying in one of the lovely villas of Gerald Durrell's My Family and Other Animals (but without the madness!) Beautiful rooms, views, and breakfasts. You have to drive to the beaches - as you do from almost all...
