It is a classical Pelion mansion originally built in 1831 and fully restored and renovated. The works were carried out with respect, tenderness and much care so nothing changed the apparently simple and abstract character of the original building. The works lasted three years, since the original construction was based on materials such as lime mortar, stones and Cedar logs. The same materials were used for the completion of works, a process which was very time consuming and difficult and was carried out by experienced builders and stone fitters. The outcome ensured the old architectural style and authenticity of the initial design on both the external façade as well as on some interior elements that remained intact and catch your eye from the first minute. The house is divided into three levels which are interconnected by a wooden staircase. Each level has got its own communal lounge equipped with a TV set, books, magazines and board games. On the ground floor there is the breakfast lounge where daily from 08:30 to 11:00 you can enjoy the buffet with homemade jams, local honey, hot rolls, croissants, homemade cakes and many other wonderful flavors, supported by a wide variety of coffees and teas. There are 5 double rooms in the Guest House (1 on the ground floor, 2 on the first floor and 2 on the second floor) each one with each own style and its own luxurious bathroom. The Guest House is ideal for couples wanting to escape the everyday life, but is also like home for larger groups.

Detailed Reviews
Returning to Pelion after three years the accomodation options where much more varied and luxurious. Having fallen in love with the Eastern side of Pelion I chose Mountain's Secret and it didn't disappoint me one bit. This is a restored old house of Mouresi, where the architect/interior designer team surely gave their best. Many touches of elegance and design, while at the same time you are always aware you are in a traditional home. The rooms were very cozy with soft linen and a warm wooden floor.
Each floor has two rooms and a common living room with great view- so it is also great for a party of 4 - you can have the whole floor for yourself.
The service was warm and full of information about the region. Highlight of the breakfast are the home-made jams: try the kiwi one!

One of the best traditional guesthouses I have been. Very modern, very comfortable, very elegant. Definitely a value for money choice, and a perfect place for a relaxing weekend. Specially during winter. They are just fixing their terraces etc, so soon will be very good for summer as well.

What an amazing place that is. I rarely came across a hotel combining aesthetics, comfort, amenities and location in such a price level. A must-visit hotel, ideal for complete take-over by 4 families with children or couples seeking relaxation. Dimitris (if I recall well the name of the owner) will happily propose you day trips and provide culinary suggestions to make sure you avoid mishaps.

Spent a weekend there, unlucky enough to find bad weather but fortunately the hotel was very welcome and made our hours in the room relaxing and calming (as we were on a bike and couldn't drive around during the rainfall). The beds are amazing (Coco-mat, this is why we chose it also in the first place), the area is beautiful, the breakfast is nice and the girl that was our host during our stay was smiley and helpful. I would stay there again if I travel to Mouresi.

We stayed for 4 days in June. The location is very convenient, you are 15-20 minutes drive from the sea and not too far from the picturesque villages on the mountains.
The house itself is very nicely and tastefully decorated and everything is reasonably new and in good condition. There property is spread over three floors with 1 room at the bottom and two rooms each on the top two floors. The top two floors have their own spacious sitting area to relax so they would be great options for a group hiring both rooms in a floor (or the whole house). The sitting area outside is also very nice though the view is just of the surrounding trees. It is all very quiet, just outside the village.
Service is good, the caretaker is there in the mornings to prepare the very nice breakfast. This is not an endless options type breakfast but you get fresh juice, nice coffee and home made pie, cereal, fruit and a choice of eggs, pancakes or omelette (at least that's what we had!). In the evenings the caretaker will be there to do whatever is needed and in the process if you are there will gladly make you a coffee and offer some nice traditional sweets.
The rooms themselves are very nicely decorated but are on the small side, this is after all an old house. The bathrooms are all new and very nice. Overall this was a very nice stay.
The only issue I would say is that there is noise from the other rooms and you will hear people walking about and even talking, this is a very old house made with a lot of wood in between! However we didn't find it too much of an issue as during the day you/the rest of the people are likely to be away but in the evening you may have a bit of noise. We were lucky and 3 nights out of 4 it was just us in the whole house, on the last day two more rooms were occupied and there was a bit of noise for a while but I wouldn't consider it much of an issue. I suppose if you are unlucky and get a few noisy people this can change but that's about the only negative I can think of!
Overall a lovely stay for us in a fantastic location. We enjoyed it all very much.

We had a delightful stay in early August in 2011.The building is a traditional one, restored recently. It consists of two floors ,each floor having a lounge where you can watch TV ,DVDS or read a book. It's very cosy and suitable for groups of friends, as well.As for the rooms, each one of them offers something unique: one has a fireplace, another one has a bathroom looking like a cellar separated from the bedroom with a glass window. The owners have paid attention to every detail.Kate ,who is the host there, is very kind and helpful, always trying to provide the best for you.Breakfast was served outdoors, which was very refreshing.I suggest it to people who are looking for something unique.Discover it!

The guest house has been recently renewed in an elegant though traditional way. It has five rooms (smaller than appeared in the guest house internet site) some of them with a fireplace . Breakfast was good , excellent coffee , warm bread and a variety of marmalades.Owners and stuff were very friendly .
I would definetely suggest it for a friend.

Cozy built and furnished, very kind staff, nothing more than standard breakfast, quite nice location and surroundings BUT room numbered 1 at the ground floor not only has its door situated next to the breakfast buffet, not only you hear every step and snore of the residents above but it is also terribly smelling of mold! After first night of stay, we decided to leave but the cynical owner refused to reimburse the prepayment previously made equal to two nights of stay! Wifi is a joke!

We would like to thank you for your time evaluating us. Regarding your personal opinion for your room, we are sorry to feel that way, but we would like to reassure you that we take care of everything so as to provide the best circumstances for a satisfying stay. No one has ever complained to us about smells (!) in a room, but as we told you we cannot do anything so as to change a personal opinion. We just respect it. Wifi and breakfast have received excellent reviews so far as you might have seen, but again it is your personal opinion and we cannot change it. As far as the payment reimbursement you mention, let us remind you that you had a non refundable reservation, where it is clear from the beginning that there is no reimbursement. Despite that, we have given you back the value of one night stay, without having any obligation to do so, something that you forgot to mention. We wish you a Happy Summer!
