Whilst many people visit this beautiful B&B en route to or from a destination further south, we love it so much that we go back every year for the Bastille Day celebrations. We love the torchlight parade through the village on 13th, the fireworks by the lake on 14th, and the massive Brocante in Houlle on 15th, where you can... More

this former farm, seemingly in the middle of nowhere, is perfect when travelling to or from the UK to France, as it's about 20 minutes from the ferry port or tunnel. We got a fairly friendly welcome from a man who spoke good english, were told a little of the place's history and showed to our bamboo themed room. It... More

We were very delayed in arriving at this little out of the way guesthouse but the owners were kind enough to wait for arrival. Our room was tucked away in one of the barns in the grounds of this rambling farm – decorated in a pretty ‘shabby-chic’ way – warm and cosy. The breakfast with the homemade jams and preserves... This establishment is set in a wonderful and wooded landscape. Pure tranquillity. However, you must make sure you get a room in the main building. As other contributors have remarked, the small outbuilding is very shaded and there is clearly an issue with humidity which manifests itself in a slightly musty odour. Also, breakfast in the dining room commences at... More

Very quiet away from busy roads. Very welcoming host and a great breakfast. Easy drive from, or to Ferry terminal, yet far enough away from Calais and feels very calm and peaceful. We had to drive to find dinner and 2 of the 3 recommendations were closed (June, mid week), so check before setting out.

Hidden among the trees is this wonderful place. The owner is lovely and willing to help as much as he can. The room was gorgeous, recently modernised and beautifully clean. Lots of little extras including tea and coffee making facilities. Wifi is excellent. They don't take cards as advertised on booking.com but they are trying to change the site. Well... More

We arrived at the B&B to be greeted by the owner who showed us around and suggested restaurants in the village for us. It's the most picturesque, well looked after garden, with places to sit. A hot tub on the premises makes this place that little bit better, if that's possible! Sitting there in the glorious sunshine was a perfect... More

It is only a 20 minute drive from the ferry port to the Manoir tucked away down a quiet country lane. The building surrounds a pretty walled garden with arched windows giving the impression of a sheltered cloister. Our room (hortensia) was white and grey with limed beams. The bed was comfortable and afforded a good nights sleep in the... More

Delightful accommodation, decor is distressed furniture and woodwork. We had the bamboo room over the barn with Bamboo painted on the wall. House is full of interesting bric a brac and old furniture. The owners were very welcoming , with information on nearby restaurants. We went to the Bonne Auberge and were very pleased with our choice. breakfast was yummy.... More
